Who Won the Victory?
It was a tumultuous time. A time, as always, of change.
Many of America’s commentators have been glorifying Reagan and his accomplishments, some even calling for a national holiday to honor the man.
We are not against Reagan — although we think it a farce to declare a holiday [read holy day] in his name. But there is a critical error in the thinking of our national commentators. They want to give Ronald Reagan and his militant stance the credit for the fall of Soviet communism.
This is completely wrong.
This credit goes to someone else far more important than a president.
This is a simple fact of history that no student can deny. Oh, of course, they want to and will, but that is because they do not want to admit it. It goes against their doctrines and beliefs, whatever they may be. They are students of the secular, not the spiritual.
Please remember, as G.K Chesterton wrote, there is always evidence for a miracle; people do not believe in a miracle because they have a doctrine.
This is the case today.
How quickly we forget as a nation, a society, even as believers.
Let’s examine some critical facts. We must begin at the beginning of the 20th Century.
* A Woman who claimed She was Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, requested in Her apparitions at Fatima in 1917 that the nation of Russia be consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart by the pope and all the bishops of the Catholic Church. For some reason, She did not mention the United States Congress nor the president.
* Mary said if this was not done as She requested, a worse war than the one that was currently raging, World War I, as we call it today, would break out.
* Her request was not heeded and what we now call World War II quickly followed.
* Mary also said these important words in 1917, knowing full well Her request would not be heeded: “in the end My Immaculate Heart will Triumph, but first the pope will have much to suffer.”
* The rise of nazism caused great suffering for many, including the popes, namely Pius XI, Pius XII, and a man who was just becoming a priest at the time, Karol Wojtyla.
* A nation suffered greatly as well. It was the nation of a future pope whom no one could see coming. It was the nation of Karol Wojtyla, Poland.
* World War II, the war Mary had predicted, ended and Poland’s situation went from bad to worse. While the nazis were defeated, the Polish people were not freed, for now the West had allowed them to be under Soviet domination.
* In the meantime, the people of the West waited for the revelation of the “3rd Secret of Fatima” in 1960.
* Nothing, thanks to the pope who gave us Vatican II, happened in 1960. The prophecies and its secret were never spoken of.
* Fatima was pushed aside and forgotten by many, especially the Church hierarchy. But a funny thing happened after Vatican II, a pope suffered as he talked about the “smoke of satan” entering the Church and another one suffered a mysterious death that until today is suspicious. Then, another pope took up the Keys of Peter.
* That pope was a man by the name of Karol Wojtyla. He was a man who had first consecrated himself, and then his homeland, the nation of Poland, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
* John Paul II, as he called himself, was now at the center of the world stage at the same time that Ronald Reagan rose to power.
* Both men will be shot in 1981. One in March; one in May.
* But Mary didn’t say first the “president will have much to suffer” before the beginning of Her Triumph would unfold. Remember, satan can only mimic God and try to distract and confuse us.
* The Queen of Heaven and Earth said first “the pope” would have much to suffer, and he did when he took a bullet from a would-be assassin on May 13, 1981, the 64th anniversary of the 1st apparition of Mary at Fatima!
* The bullet was fired by a man by the name of Mehmet, the Turkish equivalent of the name Mohammed.
* Amazingly, the false prophet Mohammed’s favored daughter was named Fatima, the same name of the town in which Mary's famous predictions were given.

* The pope survived the assassination attempt in what doctors described as a “miracle.” The pope said, “one hand fired the bullet and another guided it” as the bullet missed all his vital organs.
* In his recuperation period, the pope will correspond with the seer of Fatima and read the prophecies of Our Lady. John Paul II will become convinced he is the pope mentioned in Her prophecy, the so-called 3rd Secret of Fatima. Until this incident, the pope will state he did not give Fatima much thought.
* In fact, the pope wrote, “I did not yet know very much about Fatima. I could see, however, that there was a certain continuity among La Salette, Lourdes and Fatima … . And thus we come to May 13, 1981, when I was wounded by gunshots fired in St. Peter’s Square. At first, I did not pay attention to the fact that the assassination attempt had occurred on the exact anniversary of the day Mary appeared to the three children at Fatima in Portugal and spoke to them the words that now, at the end of this century, seem to be close to their fulfillment” Crossing the Threshold of Hope; page 221.
* The pope will place the bullet in the Crown of the pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima when he goes to Portugal to thank the Virgin for saving his life.
* He will consecrate the world, which includes Russia, in 1982 to Mary’s Immaculate Heart. Yes, Virginia, it was not a perfect consecration; but it was done.
* The reason John Paul II was the victim of an assassination attempt is twofold:
1. It is not like in the case of Ronald Reagan where an insane individual, John Hinckley, tried to kill the president.
-- The pope’s assassin was acting under the orders of the Soviet government to rid them of the “Polish” pope that was already inspiring the enslaved people of a Soviet bloc nation to rebel.
2. The assassin, on the other hand, was an islamic fundamentalist who hated Christians, and took the assistance and directions of Soviet agents in order to fulfill his desire to kill the visible head of the “Crusaders.”
* The Soviets did not see Ronald Reagan as a “threat” to their existence. John Paul II, as the Vicar of Christ, was!
* This goes back to the old question of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin (which translates to Man of Steel), when he was warned not to tamper with the Catholic Church when purging Russia. Stalin remarked, “How many divisions does the pope have?”
* John Paul II will, just as the Soviets feared, become a rallying point for the Polish people. And Stalin’s successors will find out how many divisions the pope has.
* THE POLISH PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW THE POPE’S LEAD! A man who, as he would tell anyone, was following Mary's lead.
* This means the Poles got bombs, guns, boats, and planes, and destroyed the evil Soviet army wherever they found it in their nation through terrorist and guerrilla tactics.
* NO! THIS MEANS THEY GOT OUT THEIR ROSARIES AND PRAYED!
* And then, God in His Mercy, having heard the cries of His people through His Mother’s Immaculate Heart, ANSWERED THEIR PRAYERS and forced the Soviet machine to get out of Poland!
* No guns, bombs, boats, or planes were used by the Polish people!
* Ronald Reagan played an important role in this. He allowed CIA director, Bill Casey, a daily Mass-going Catholic, to provide the pope with secret intelligence information to help John Paul know what the Soviets were doing.
* Ronald Reagan did not bring about the collapse of Soviet communism. His rhetoric only helped to denounce it and his economic policies of a military buildup helped to keep Soviet adventurism and domination in check.
* John Paul II also did not bring down Soviet communism, which occurred shortly after the nation of Poland threw off the yolk of the atheistic system.
So then, if it wasn't the president nor the pope, who won the victory?
* THE VIRGIN MARY WAS THE VICTOR!
* This is the beginning of the Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart as She prophesied at Fatima! It is a Triumph God desires and has given His Mother to honor Her. It is through His strength and Will that the Triumph begins and ends.
History has borne out the Truth of this.
Now, as the darkness once again grows around us as another president does not heed Her calls to peace, Mary is in need of willing children to assist Her.
It is the Year of the Rosary.
The proof of Her victory through the prayers of the Rosary in the collapse of Soviet communism is apparent and unstoppable.
Her next victory is unstoppable as well; but its timing is in the hands of those who take up the Weapon of Mass Intercession: the Rosary.
So, who won the victory over Soviet communism?
It was neither the president nor the pope.
It is Mary, through the Power of Her Son's Hand, and Her prayer warriors that won.
And God proved it WAS His Mother who appeared at Fatima by the miracles that have occurred since Her apparition as the Woman Clothed With the Sun.
But remember the way Heaven, with all of its immense power, loves to work. Mary used a simple, humble man who was a willing slave to Her.
John Paul II, in his consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary under the formula inspired by St. Louis de Montfort, is a willing slave to the Queen of Heaven and Earth.
Who now is willing to assist Her as She and Her Son complete Her inevitable Triumph?
Are you?
Who wants to gain the eternal rewards that will come with this?
Who dares work against the Queen of Heaven and Earth to heap coals upon their heads for Eternity?
We will stand not with or against the president.
We will stand with the pope, any pope, as long as he stands with Mary.
For we will not stand with anyone -- pope, president, bishop, protest-ant, or fellow citizens, who will not stand with the Queen of Heaven and Earth.
For that is where Jesus, the King of Heaven and Earth, stands.
Where do you stand?
