Why Mary Requested
Its Release in 1960!
As most believers know, the “3rd secret” of Fatima, as it has become known, was finally released by John Paul II — “Mary’s Pope” — on May 13 in the Great Jubilee Year 2000.
It was, as we have stated before, the end of the Fatima era.
The pope closed the door on the prophecies of Fatima and then, on October 8, 2000, as he consecrated the 3rd Millennium to the Queen of Peace, opened the door to a new era: the beginning of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
We were privileged to be among the thousands of pilgrims who joined the Holy Father on that momentous occasion in Rome — an event that has yet to be fully understood by the Church and mankind in general.
When John Paul II allowed the disclosure of what was said by Mary to the three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal during Her apparitions in 1917, many believed that the full secret was not revealed.
Many also took issue with the Vatican’s interpretation, not believing that the assassination attempt on John Paul, May 13, 1981, was the fulfillment of the so-called “3rd secret.”
Those who do not believe it is the fulfillment of the prophecy of the “3rd secret” are wrong!
And the proof of this does not lie within theological doctrines regarding the consecration of Russia or the symbolism of a “bishop in white” who is killed or not killed.
The proof of it lies in time.
Time as in the hourglass.
The sands of time prove Mary’s prophecy.
And these same sands of time prove why Mary originally requested that the prophecy regarding the “bishop in white” be revealed by the Church not in the year 2000, but in the year 1960!
For again, Heaven does nothing by “accident.”
Many have speculated that Mary made the request regarding the year 1960 because She knew what would happen to the Church after Vatican II.
Certainly, She knew, but that is truly NOT the reason for Her request.
Others have speculated that perhaps it had something to do with an apocalyptic prophecy regarding nuclear war. The Cuban missile crisis, of course, comes to mind, but we must also remember that the last surviving visionary of Fatima, Sister Lucy, spoke of this nuclear war possibility in the 1980s, not the 1960s.
Indeed, in the prophecy of the “secret,” nuclear war does not seem to be part of the symbolism.
In order to understand the correct and absolute reason why Mary requested that this so-called “3rd secret” be revealed in 1960, one must do two things: first, understand the original prophecy She previously predicted; and two, understand time, not from our human viewpoint, but from God’s!
This goes back to that formula that we were inspired to comprehend five years ago. It is a simple formula and one that is scriptural.
As the first pope, St. Peter, told us:
“But of this one thing, be not ignorant, my beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day!” II Peter 3:8.
There are two important statements the first Vicar of Christ informs us: “be not ignorant”!
We can be “ignorant,” afraid — fearing that which no one has spoken of before because the Lord chose previously not to reveal it.
Or we can be not “ignorant” — “without knowledge,” “uninformed,” “oblivious,” as the dictionary defines it — and, instead, comprehend that God has given us a little formula to understand time from His viewpoint.
The second important statement is to comprehend, then, if a “thousand years” is “as one day” than what is one hour to the Lord?
(For those of you who may have already read this from our earlier writings, please bear with us, as we make sure any newcomers are on board as well.)
The simple equation is 1,000 years divided by 24 hours in a day.
One hour in Heaven for our Lord , therefore, is equivalent to 41.666 years on Earth; or to round it off to its nearest number: 42 years. (And remember, 6 in its various forms is, symbolically, not only the number of the “beast,” but the number of man.)
Again, the generality of this number remains extremely scriptural because our Lord often speaks of a “generation” which is equivalent to 40 years. In fact, the symbolism of 42 years as an opposite number for 24 hours is also obvious!
That means a half-hour from Heaven’s perspective is equal to 21 Earth years!
If there are those who do not wish to accept this, no one is forcing you. One can choose to continue to be “uninformed” or “oblivious” to this simple explanation.
But for those who do not see this formula as a “threat” to doctrine and dogma, or just because no one else has ever presented it before, there is informational knowledge that helps us — as believers or, more importantly, unbelievers — to comprehend historical events that sometimes seem distant to us as human beings, but, in reality, only occurred a few hours ago as far as Heaven is concerned!
This — and only this — reason is why we offer such a simple breakdown of time!
Why?
Because this puts the skeptics on the defensive when they make statements that can be equated to “where is His Promise or His Coming?” as St. Peter wrote (II Peter 3:4).
For what seems like 2,000 years to us as human beings is, in reality, only two days in His time!
And so we must examine the prophecies of Fatima in this regard.
For the prophecies in question were all — including the so-called “3rd secret” — originally given in the year 1917.
A year when what was known then as the “Great War” was raging throughout the world.
As we have stated before, Mary NEVER appears in any true apparition unless an official request for Her assistance is made.
In 1917, it was Pope Benedict XV who was asking the Queen of Heaven to show mankind out of the then-current world war.
A few days after the pontiff’s request, Mary appeared to the shepherd children of Fatima for the first time.
In order to understand this appearance as well, we must comprehend that when one has as much power as Heaven, one does not come knocking on the Holy Father’s door in broad daylight, stating: “I received your request; here I am, what can I do for you?”
No.
For there is NO faith test in that.
As Heaven has demonstrated over and over again, one finds the most obscure, unlikely, least powerful, and humble target one can find.
In Fatima’s case, it was three humble shepherd children — not the powerful pope in Vatican City that Mary chose to respond to the Holy Father’s request!
And to the three children, Mary revealed Her secrets.
In those revelations came the GREAT TEST!
The test of faith.
The test of faith: first for the children, then their parents, then the local priest, bishop, townspeople, the witnesses to the miracle, the media, local politicians, government leaders, educated theologians, the pope, the Church, the world, etc.
Many failed the test of Fatima.
Many today continue to fail the test.
But that is the reason for Mary’s time-oriented prophecies.
In order for many in the world to pass the faith test, people generally need or ask for a sign.
Mary gave them not one but two.
She provided two predictions to the children (we will not focus on other statements or events — such as the consecration of Russia or October miracle — for the sake of clarity in regard to proving the prophetic nature of the two statements).
The first was that if mankind wanted to find a way out of war, there was a heavenly antidote. As we remind people so often, Mary never asked to be called “Our Lady of Fatima.” She asked to be known as the “Lady of the Rosary.” And the Rosary was the weapon She gave in order for mankind to avoid a war WORSE than the one that was currently raging in 1917.
If not, Mary predicted, another conflict would break out under the pontificate of Pius XI. A pope who was yet to reign.
In 1938, the antichrist hitler invaded his native nation of Austria — and while the people of the time did not understand it, this was the beginning of what we now call World War II! Yes, we know most historians claim the bombing of Poland in 1939 began the hot conflict, but as we lived through a “cold war,” one can completely comprehend that this military move by the nazis was the beginning of the next “great” war from Heaven’s standpoint!
The pope at the time of the nazi invasion was Pius XI!
From the fulfillment of Her prophecy in 1917 to 1938 equals exactly 21 years.
A half-hour in Heaven’s time.
Or to be more specific: 30 minutes!
A significant SYMBOLIC number to our Lord who does NOTHING by accident!
In other words, God gave mankind 30 minutes to pay attention and adhere to His Mother’s message, or, once again, He would remove His Hand of Protection.
It has been said by some that World War I and II were the products of satan. Of course! All wars are the making of satan, but we must NEVER forget that Mary told us at Fatima that war is a chastisement for sin.
“ … know that this is the great sign from God that the chastisement of the world for its many transgressions is at hand through war, famine, persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father,” Mary told the children in Her June 13, 1917 apparition.
For when mankind sins, the Lord removes His Hand of Protection and gives us what we want — even when it is NOT good for us.
In this case, the Lord, by removing His Hand of Protection because mankind did not turn to His Mother’s Rosary — nor did the Church consecrate Russia “to prevent this” as our Queen requested — the evil one was able to drag the nations through the worst Holocausts known in the history of the world!
And still — after the horror of World War II — we did not turn back to Him, nor did we (and when we say we, we mean the entire world not traditional Catholics!) follow the instructions of Mary (i.e., consecrate Russia) and pray the Rosary!
Mary, in Her heavenly Wisdom, knew that mankind would not do as She had instructed.
She knew that the failure of the Church to consecrate Russia in 1930 — after Her formal request in 1929 and the approval of Her apparitions and messages the following year — would weigh heavy on the history of mankind.
Mary had a secondary plan in mind.
A plan to compensate for mankind’s failures.
A plan to ensure the skeptics of Her messages would be put in their place as the charlatans they are.
But the plan — as Her Son permitted it — revolved around one vital point: the OBEDIENCE OF THE CHURCH TO ITS MOTHER AND QUEEN!
A more simple obedience than the extremely hard request for all the bishops of the world to unite with the Holy Father and consecrate Russia by name in 1930!
And so Mary dropped the proverbial “bombshell” on the children of Fatima.
The “3rd secret,” She requested, should be revealed in the year 1960.
Again, one must question why?
Because, the seer of Fatima explained, when it was made known, the prophecy “will be clearer,” to directly quote Sister Lucy.
Yet, now that we know the “3rd secret,” what would have made the people of 1960 comprehend the vision of the “bishop in white” who is apparently killed by the enemies of the Church?
The answer is NOTHING!
It was NOT meant for the people of 1960 to understand immediately.
It was meant for the people of 1981 to comprehend!
For it was another prophecy that predicted what would occur if mankind continued to ignore the messages of the Mother of God!
And the reason Mary requested its release in 1960 is simple — for it can be done in hindsight and by referring to that formula that seems to “frighten” some people.
By using that formula that one hour equals 42 years on God’s time clock, we can see that, once again — as Heaven repeats its patterns over and over to ensure we know it is the true Voice of God’s Prophets that we hear — 1981 was exactly 21 years after the year Mary requested the “secret” to be revealed!
It was another 30-minute warning and proof positive of the prophetic nature of Mary’s Fatima apparitions!
If the Church had done as Mary requested in 1960, the nay-sayers, skeptics, protest-ants, and other anti-Marys who constantly put doubt in people’s minds about the Truth of Her messages would have no leg to stand on!
Everyone would have publicly known what the “secret” about the “bishop in white” stated. They would then have been able — not in retrospect as when it was revealed in 2000 A.D. — to look back in 1981 21 years to 1960 and KNOW that only a true prophet could have correctly predicted a FUTURE event to the children! An event predicted in 1917, revealed in 1960 and occurring in 1981!
The release of the secret in 1960 would have made it “clearer” that it was a bona-fide prophecy, not a statement in 2000 making interpretative claims on an event that occurred previously 19 years ago. That is backwards!
The revelation in 1960 would have proven Mary is the Queen of Prophets!
But the Church failed Her.
It failed Her in its late consecration of Russia:
“ … they will repent and do it, but it will be late. Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer!” the Lord Jesus told Sister Lucy in 1931, one year AFTER the consecration should have been accomplished!
It failed Her in ignoring Her request to reveal Her prophecy — the “3rd secret” in 1960 and, instead, “opened the windows” of the Church in what has become known as the “spirit of Vatican II”!
And the Church failed mankind as the guardian of the faith when, instead of presenting the prophecy of its Queen after the then-pontiff read it, the hierarchy put its head in the sand, buried the secret, and as John XXIII stated, the “3rd secret” of Fatima did not pertain to his pontificate!
How right he was!
And that was the point!
A point he overlooked as the Vicar of Christ because he was “without knowledge,” “uninformed” and “oblivious” of time from Heaven’s standpoint.
No one gave him the formula.
Indeed, no statement of John XXIII could be more true than the fact that the 3rd secret of Fatima did not pertain to his pontificate — just as the first prophecy did not pertain to Benedict XV but, instead, Pius XI — because it was a prophecy regarding a pope who was yet to ascend to the Throne of Peter!
A man who would be pope in 21 years.
A man who would be the victim of an assassination plot forged in the errors of Russia and executed by an islamic terrorist.
An assassination plot Mary had predicted in 1917 and wanted revealed in 1960 to ensure mankind could see the pattern of Her half-hour warnings.
A 30-minute warning before the beginning of World War II.
And a 30-minute warning before the attempt to kill a pope!
Warnings designed to prove to mankind — not just the Church — that She is the Queen of Heaven and Earth and She has devised an escape route for us: the prayers of the Rosary.
It was the key to belief for a world that no longer believes — not only in disregarding Her Son, but most especially in the ability for Mary to intercede for us as our Mediatrix and our Advocate.
This request to reveal Her statements to the children 30 minutes before the event was to occur was the necessary proof of the prophecy for a doubting world to believe. It is the entire reason for Mary’s 1960 request.
Instead, when John Paul II revealed it in the year 2000, it was too late; almost 30 minutes late. As such, the secret was greeted with puzzlement, distrust and claims that the full secret was not revealed.
It begot a media circus of speculation and disbelief, ranging from those who are Mary’s Rosary warriors to the blasphemy of anti-Mary protest-ants and skeptical secular humanists.
Its release in 2000 did not bring unbelievers into the fold. In fact, it caused more division between traditionalists and modernists within the Church!
Perhaps, if it had been revealed in 1960, the people of the world in 1981 would have been “clearer” that the assassination attempt — occurring on the anniversary of Mary’s first apparition at Fatima in 1917 — was a true prophecy. And a sign to all to live the messages of Our Lady of the Rosary!
There is a Divine Light in this tragedy; in this failure.
In regard to our Mediatrix and Advocate, there is one other final proof of Mary’s power as the Queen who sits at the Right Hand of Her Son, the King!
It is that prayer changes things.
Thankfully, there were enough believers who did comprehend the messages of Mary at Fatima and followed Her instructions.
They are Her Holy Rosary warriors!
They prayed the Rosary even as the “windows” of the Church were opened.
They continued to believe even when the Church failed its Mistress.
They prayed the Fatima prayers of reparation.
They continued to invoke St. Michael.
And because they did not give up when the secret was not revealed in 1960, Mary had enough prayers to offer Her Son through Her Immaculate Heart that enabled Her to do what only She could do. Only what She and She alone was allowed to do: stop the bullet from ending the life of John Paul II.
Stop the bullet that would have changed the course of history — His Story.
The assassination attempt on the pope of 1981 failed because Mary interceded. As the pope stated, it was a Mother’s hand that guided the bullet away from severing his vital organs!
For in the battle of the Woman Clothed With the Sun against the red dragon, it is the prayers of the Rosary that give Mary the power to ensure Her pope would remain alive to institute Her Son’s Divine Will throughout the Church.
Had John Paul II died, the entire history of mankind changes and, as a result, there would be today, NO Divine Mercy Feast!
In ensuring the “bishop in white” does not fall dead, but is only gravely wounded, the “Holy Father” does, indeed, “have much to suffer.”
But in that suffering — as in the Cross — comes the Triumph.
Not only in the institution of the Divine Mercy Feast in the Great Jubilee Year by “Mary’s Pope,” but in the consecration of the 3rd Millennium in the beginning of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary — the Mother of Mercy!
We can remain “ignorant” regarding the meaning of Scripture when it comes to God’s time clock, or we can take the clue provided by the first pope and comprehend that the Lord — who is the Alpha and the Omega — has not miscalculated His hours in Heaven vs. ours on Earth.
“Could you not watch one hour with Me?” He asks all of us.
In the time between 1917 and the request of Mary to release Her famous secret in 1960, the Church failed to watch one hour with its Lord.
The Church failed because it should transcend time.
Instead, it looked to please the world by “opening its windows” when it should have sought to please its Queen!
With the release four years ago of the “3rd secret,” not only the Church, but Heaven has closed the door on the prophecies of Fatima.
There are those who can claim that this is all just “speculation” on our part.
There are those who will be “frightened” by this presentation of time, questioning whether or not it is “Church-approved” or claiming that it “adds” or “detracts” from Mary’s prophecies.
Let them believe or not believe as they wish. No one is required to accept anything we say.
At the same time, for those who wish not to be “oblivious” to what is before our eyes, let us not be “ignorant” of the next 42 years (equal to half our lifetimes!) and, instead, remain vigilante, watching “one hour” with our Lord as the Triumph of His Mother — which most people of our dark time do not understand — continues to unfold.
