Why? Because both are Signs of the Times! And surrounding both, the Lord God is speaking clearly to His creation. Is His creation listening?
Of course not! Did they listen when He walked the Earth? What did the people of Jesus' time do to Him? If they could crucify the Light when He walked the Earth, what do you think they are going to do to a cloth that is only a REFLECTION of His Great Light?
So we can determine that the Great Spiritual Battle that surrounds all of us every day is in full gear! But we have nothing to fear. He wins!
The problem is recognizing the other signs God is giving the world and, at the same time, NOT to be fooled by the "leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees (Matthew 16:11). And believe us, while we uphold Catholic dogma, the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees resides both WITHIN and WITHOUT the Church. So these are trying and confusing times. The protest-ants, as we have been talking about, cannot stand Mary, do not want Her for their Queen, and refuse to believe the Signs -- not signs that the Church has given them, but signs that GOD ALMIGHTY has given them!
So when we spotted the above-linked story in the title of this piece on Spirit Daily's web site, we wanted all to understand that it is not just the two sindonologists who run this web site that are speaking of the importance of Fatima, the number 13 and the war against Christianity and Judaism that islam is currently waging. But that there are others as well. Others who do not know us but yet have come to the same spiritual conclusions about historical events that no one can deny occurred!
In this regard, we must keep up our defense of Mary and Her apparitions for TIME IS WASTING! We will not find our refuge in the "left behind" series that promulgates the false hope of a "rapture." We will only find our refuge in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Now how is the Lord God showing us that this is the reality and that we won't find complete and total salvation by reading the multimillion-dollar "left behind" series or watching the Trinity BORED CASTING Network (TBN) or listening to the Calvary Chapel "biblical idiots" of the world.
While we outline the incredible 13 13s in our book, Fatima, the Shroud and John Paul II, that show God's Hand in the history of mankind starting with the vision of Pope Leo XIII on October 13, 1884 and culminating in the revelation of the 3rd Secret of Fatima on May 13, 2000, here are some other spiritual Truths we can bet on:
* John Paul II is the only leader of the world to acknowledge that the Shroud is the burial cloth of Jesus by stating that it is a "silent but eloquent witness to the Resurrection of Christ."
* Since this is a critical fact, we should then ask ourselves what does John Paul do day in and day out when not attending to his pontifical duties? He PRAYS THE ROSARY!
* Hmm, this is interesting, because many people who are now dead and have the word SAINT in front of their names also believed in the Shroud's authenticity and prayed the Rosary!
* This leads us to another important link. If the only world leader who acknowledges the Shroud and prays before it is a man that is following the Saints, then who did John Paul II canonize as the first Saint in the New Millennium? Amazingly, it is a woman whom Jesus called His "Secretary of Divine Mercy": we know her as Saint Faustina.
* How did Saint Faustina become Jesus' Secretary of Divine Mercy? Through Divine Choice obviously, but confirmed through apparitions she had of the Lord when Saint Faustina was alive in the 1930s. These apparitions, like Fatima, were subsequently approved as miraculous by the Church after a thorough investigation. This led to the formal approval of the Divine Mercy Feast and the Divine Mercy Chaplet: two items the Lord specifically requested that Sister Faustina speak of to the world and which she recorded in her diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul.
* What was one of the prayers that the Lord Jesus specifically told Saint Faustina was to be included in the prayers of the Divine Mercy Chaplet? HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE, THE LORD IS WITH THEE! The very one protest-ants find abhorent!
* So where is all this going? There are two sides we must keep in mind here.
1. We have people who call apparitions of Mary, especially at Fatima, a "trick of the devil."
2. While on the other side, we have a man who amazingly became pope, said his pontificate was a fulfillment of one of Fatima's prophecies and was shockingly shot on the 64th anniversary of the first apparition of Mary at Fatima.
This leads us to these questions that we all must answer in the Great Spiritual Battle:
* Do you think John Paul II planned the timing of the assassination attempt so he could link it to Mary's apparitions at Fatima?
* Do you think that when the pope was shot, he was able, by his own power, to have the bullet miss his vital organs?
* Do you think that it is a lie or reality that the pope, as reported by those close to him, experienced the "miracle of the sun" that occurred at Fatima in 1917 when John Paul was recovering from the assassination attempt in the hospital?
* Do you think that since his life was spared it is an accident that John Paul II sees as imperative the need to bring the Divine Mercy message to the world?
* Do you think that the apparitions of Jesus to Saint Faustina are a "trick of the devil" because the "Hail Mary" prayer was included as a mandatory necessity for Divine Mercy graces to be shed?
Or is it obvious that those who refuse to recognize the Signs of the Times are condemning themselves? And again, please remember that does not mean eternal perdition. But there is a place called "Purgatory" and those who do not support Mary in Her battle against the evil one are going to wind up there no matter how much they call upon the Name of Jesus!
Let's look at it this way. You are the president and you have ordered troops to Afghanistan to fight against the enemies of your nation. A foot solider tells his commanding officer that he did not hear directly from the president that he should go to Afghanistan and refuses to obey the commanding officer. What will happen to that individual soldier? He will not be shot for treason -- but he will be put in the brig for a long time for disobeying his superior and lose his retirement benefits.
It will be like that for protest-ants. They scream and cry, "Where does it say I have to pray the Rosary in the Bible?" But God in His Infinite Power, Majesty and Might has given -- according to HIS OWN GOOD PLEASURE -- the command of His Heavenly Army to the most humble creature of the Universe: Mary. And Mary, as our commanding officer, has requested, at Fatima and elsewhere, that WE PRAY THE ROSARY in order to defeat the evil of this world.
Now what do you think is going to happen to those who have disobeyed their commanding officer and appeal to the president?
