| Does the Feast of the Rosary Prove the Hierarchy Is in Heresy? |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
| “Endeavor then to excite those sentiments in your heart, by reflecting for a moment before you begin your Beads, on the justice and merit of giving that small testimony of your veneration for the mysteries of your redemption, and devotion to the Mother of God. Think also of the consolation it will be to you on your death-bed, to have said your Beads devoutly, and thereby implored, upwards of fifty times a day, the assistance of the Blessed Virgin, for that dreadful hour when you will so much stand in need of her powerful intercession, yet perhaps NOT BE ABLE TO EVEN PRONOUNCE HER NAME”! |

| Ursuline Manual Rev. John Power, Doctor of Divinity 1854 Imprimatur, John, Archbishop of New York October 1851 We are now 152 years since this “prayer book” for “pious and useful reading” was issued under the authority of the Church. We are now 432 years since Pope St. Pius V proclaimed the Feast of the Holy Rosary. We are now eight centuries since the Queen of Heaven and Earth appeared to St. Dominic asking him to propagate the devotion to “Mary’s Psalter,” as St. Joseph’s Missal states, a “powerful means of combating error and vice.” Where are we today? Yes, we are well aware of the many great cardinals, bishops and priests who are devoted to the Rosary. We are well aware of John Paul II’s devotion and the very reason why he is going to Pompeii to implore from our Queen the elusive gift of world peace. But what is your local bishop doing? Your local priest? When was the last time they led their congregation, parish or diocese in the recitation of Mary’s Psalter? When was the last time you personally saw your local hierarchy on their knees in the quiet of the Church before the Blessed Sacrament praying the Rosary? History is a great teacher for all of us. We must never neglect what the reality was when our Lord and/or His Mother instructed us — whether as a Church or individuals. When Mary gave the Rosary to St. Dominic, what was the purpose? It was to fight the Albigensian heresy of his time. A heresy that today lives on in the lodges of freemasonry. Name one local bishop you know of who prays the Rosary to fight the heresy of freemasonry today? When Pope St. Pius V decreed the Feast of the Holy Rosary it was because 1) America, that newly discovered continent, had put a man on the moon; or 2) the pope was extremely impressed with democracy as the future hope of mankind. Or 3) Mary, as the “Help of Christians” had just ensured the complete defeat of the islamic horde that was threatening to take over all of Europe! (Do we really have to provide the obvious answer?) What do we hear about islam from our hierarchy today? That we should A) engage in dialogue or B) pray to Mary to defeat their evil terrorism perpetrated against innocent men, women and children throughout the world? When the Ursuline Manual was produced a century and a half ago, it A) recommended that the Mass of Pope St. Pius V, the Tridentine Latin rite, should be abolished and the faithful not required to receive the Body and Blood of our Savior on their knees; or B) devoted approximately one-third of the book to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which included “instructions and devotions for Communion; meditations for the three days BEFORE Communion; immediate preparation for Communion; prayers BEFORE Communion; a method of hearing Mass during Communion; devout prayers AFTER Communion; a method of hearing Mass AFTER Communion, and meditation for three days AFTER Communion”? A or B? A clear choice for those who believe in the Real Presence. As a thought for anyone who receives the Blessed Sacrament, the Ursuline Manual makes this its first point regarding the receiving of the Sacred Body and Blood of our Lord: “Consider, seriously, that the adorable Eucharist is denominated by the Church A SOURCE OF DEATH TO THE WICKED … .” Where are we today? Does the Church guard against the “wicked” receiving? (How many priests involved in the scandal are still “celebrating” Mass?) Would St. Dominic recognize the Church? Would Pope St. Pius V? Would John, archbishop of New York? Would the Rev. John Power, D.D.? Would St. Faustina? If we have honestly answered this question of recognition, do we really believe that Mary, on the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin, would recognize the Church — the Church She rescued from islam, the scourge of Christianity? Do we really believe that Jesus — whom even the Angels tremble before and, as, the visionaries of Fatima witnessed, PROSTRATE themselves before the Holy Sacrament of the Altar — would recognize the Church that the bishops today have given us? We love when we read those who claim we must be “totally obedient” to that which is in heresy. We love when we read Catholics who discuss the new “norms” as something they could “get used to” because the “Church” says it’s “okay.” Really? What miracle can the hierarchy produce to prove such? What Church-approved message can the hierarchy refer to? There is no doubt we all will answer to a Higher Authority. We love when there are those who dare to suggest we should not criticize. But in honor of our Queen and the Feast of the Rosary, we will not, and cannot, remain silent. St. Faustina is not on the local Church calendars. The Divine Mercy Feast and Chaplet is not preached from the rooftops of the Church by the local hierarchies. Fatima is nowhere to be found on a calendar either, nor is it preached from many local pulpits. The Feast of the Rosary is not celebrated with the fervor it deserves by those who owe everything — including their jobs in the Church — to the Blessed Virgin. For if it were not for Mary’s intercession, the Judgment of the Lord would have — like it did with the pharisees — come upon the hierarchy of the Catholic Church a long time ago. And while the Holy Father goes to Pompeii to pray for us all, it is foolish for us as Catholics to believe his debilitating condition is because of the sins of the world. The sins of the world have always been great and yet not many pontiffs suffered as John Paul has done so heroically. No. It is time for us to comprehend as believers that John Paul II is suffering for the SINS OF THE CHURCH! A Church that with each passing day sinks deeper into crisis after crisis as the hierarchy approves changes no self-respecting Catholic would have tolerated just a generation ago. This Truth is evident as the “papal household preacher” tells us not to be afraid of the Lord and ensure we are on our knees before the Blessed Sacrament, but, instead, that the “charismatic movement” is not to be feared. A movement born in heresy and which includes in its own calculation of those “touched by the spirit” the heretics of pentecostalism! The proof the pope is suffering for the sins of the Church is in the simple obvious fact that when John Paul speaks, he no longer can do so without slurring his words. A man who once truly did speak in tongues like the Apostles did on that first Pentecost; but now, with each passing day, John Paul can barely speak any language. On the heels of the “papal household preacher” lauding the “glories” of the “charismatic movement,” the pope can barely finish a sentence. We can pretend there is no correlation here. Or we can begin to open our eyes and understand our God is speaking loud and clear to us — not in the babble and heresy of the charismatics or today’s hierarchy, but in the fear of the Lord! We pray John Paul II will be able to pray the Rosary. But as he suffers the sins of the Church — of the charismatic movement; the removal of the Blessed Sacrament from the center of the Altar; the liturgical abuses of a generation; and the new innovation of “singing” instead of kneeling after Communion — the pope will be fortunate to speak at all as God begins to silence a hierarchy that is deep in heresy. A heresy that does not fear the Lord. A heresy proved by their silence neglecting to publicly recite Mary’s Psalter on the Feast of the Holy Rosary or any day. © 2003 Agnus Dei Presents! |
