| ‘Woe to the World Because of Scandals … ’ Did the Lord Predict the Current Crisis in the Church? “And Jesus, calling unto Him a little child, set him in the midst of them, and said, ‘Amen, I say to you, unless you be converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. And he that shall receive one such little child in My Name, receiveth Me. But he that scandalize one of these little ones that believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come; but nevertheless, woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh!’ ” Matthew 18:2-7 |

| Strong words from our God and Savior. Even stronger when one contemplates the mystery of God as a merciful God. God’s Divine Mercy, we are taught, is His greatest attribute. And more Truth was never said. But there is a limit. And God has spelled it out very clearly. His words quoted above do not leave a lot of wiggle room for mercy — especially for those who supposedly are messengers of His Mercy. Perhaps those who abuse His trust anger Him all the more. So, was this quote a prophetic message for our time? A time when Jesus knew His Church would fall into great scandal, a scandal involving stealing the innocence of children who believed in Him. While the evidence of the Scriptures points that way, it is even more imperative for us to continue to review — in the Great Spiritual Battle — the voices of those whom the Lord favored with visions and messages. Messages for our time. Messages of warning. Messages of things to come. Have they now come? Read the prophetic message yourself and decide! The message comes from a woman already considered “blessed,” a title only given with the Church’s approval. She was an Augustinian nun in the 19th century who was favored by visions and the stigmata of the Lord. In 1820, the Lord Jesus revealed to Blessed Sister Anne Catherine Emmerich this prophetic vision, a vision of a Church that had been infiltrated by those who wished to destroy it. Sister Anne wrote: “I saw how baleful would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the City of Rome. The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness … . Once more I saw that the Church of Peter was undermined by a plan evolved by the secret sect [read freemasonry, illuminati, communism, etc.], while storms were damaging it. … I saw all sorts of people, things, doctrines and opinions. There was something proud, presumptuous and violent about it, and they seemed to be very successful. I did not see a single Angel nor a single Saint helping in the work. But far away in the background, I saw the seat of a cruel people armed with spears, and I saw a laughing figure [read satan] which said, ‘Do build it as solid as you can; we will put it to the ground!’ ” But the Lord did not stop there. The following year, He gave her this vision: “Among the strangest things I saw were long processions of bishops. Their thoughts and utterances were made known to me through images issuing from their mouths. Their faults towards religion were shown by external deformities. A few only had a body, with a dark cloud of fog instead of a head. Others had only a head, their bodies and hearts were like thick vapors. Some were lame; others were paralytics; others were asleep or staggering.” As Ted Flynn points out in his incredible book, Idols in the House (which documents these visions) another author, Yves Dupont, in Catholic Prophecy, interprets, with seemingly uncanny accuracy, the meaning of it all. Dupont states that the “ ‘heads like fog’ could mean errors in thinking. A ‘lame’ bishop could mean performance in a half-hearted way. ‘Paralytics’ could mean powerless to do anything yet knowledgeable of what should be done. ‘Asleep’ could denote unawareness or disinterest in the critical issues facing the Church. ‘Staggering’ could mean that the burden of responsibility is overwhelming.” Even further proof of the Truth regarding these prophecies is the most amazing vision of all the Lord gave to Blessed Anne: “I saw what I believe to be nearly all the bishops of the world, but only a small number were perfectly sound. I also saw the Holy Father — God-fearing and prayerful. Nothing left to be desired in his appearance, but he was weakened by old age and by much suffering. His head was lolling from side to side, and it dropped onto his chest as if he were falling asleep! He often fainted and seemed to be dying. But when he was praying, he was often comforted by apparitions from Heaven. Then, his head was erect, but soon it drooped again onto his chest. I saw a number of people looking quickly right and left, that is, in the direction of the world.” Is this not an accurate depiction of Pope John Paul II and those around him? And this is coming from a woman who died in 1824! So do not be surprised nor faint-hearted over the scandals in the Church today. Do not lose faith. Indeed, based on these visions, it was predicted long ago by our Lord; not only when He walked the Earth, but as He spoke through His visionaries and messengers! “For it must needs be that scandals come”; but we need not fear. He and His Mother are and will be, very soon, victorious on all fronts. For whom do you think will straighten this all out -- another pope? But until that time, do not feel obligated to be obedient to those who cause scandal or steer blindly in matters of conscience and have not listened to the Voice of their Lord. We are not to follow them. Are we to breakaway and start a new Church? No, for surely the Lord would not show Blessed Anne the Truth about the Holy Father and the times we’re living in if He wanted us to do so. His message in describing John Paul II is unmistakable: while the ship is adrift through mutiny and treason in the ranks, it’s still His Church and John Paul is still His vicar. What, then, do we need to do? The answer is and always will be prayer. But we also need to take a stand. We will be held accountable just as much as those who have “heads like fog.” We must not be cloudy in our thinking. We know what the Truth is. The Saints have mapped it out for us. And until the Lord does what the Lord will do, it is necessary for us to keep the pressure up on the hierarchy of the Church, a hierarchy that is “lame,” “paralytic,” “asleep,” and “staggering,” and THROW THE BUMS OUT!
