The Evil ‘Honor’ System in Iraq Against Women
Where Are the War Critics NOW?
The hypocrisy is unbelievable.

It was
"International Women's Day" Saturday, and women took to the streets of the world to protest the upcoming war with Iraq.  They criticized all the usual suspects and never once mentioned a despicable situation that should have every woman in the world up in arms to attack Iraq and restore the freedom and dignity of women in that nation!

We were watching the talking heads on the news Thursday night — one Greta Van Susteren.  On her program,
On the Record, she had two women as guests who have escaped the evil regime of sad man insein.  These women and their relatives are refugees from Iraq.

While they live in the United States, they are still in touch with relatives who live in the terror-infested nation.  They talked with Greta about the conditions in their former country.  Conditions that are intolerable by any standards.

As most informed people already understand, it is not a good nor an easy thing to live in Iraq.  A nation which once had 650,000 Jewish people in it now has less than 150,000.  The symbolic exodus from Ur to the Promised Land as in the days of Abraham continues before our sleeping eyes.

What was particularly disturbing in their conversation about conditions in Iraq, however, was a new situation that the women spoke of.  It is an old
“system” that has recently been reinstated in Iraq.  It is known as the “honor” system.

And no, that does not mean what we think it means.  As with everything in that sick nation, words are all backwards.  In our world, the honor system means to do something right even though we may have the opportunity to get away with doing something wrong.

But the “honor” system in Iraq referes specifically to a situation when a woman does something that dishonors a man, his manhood or family reputation.

Under this “honor” system, a husband, father, father-in-law or other
“qualified” male can ensure the family’s reputation is not damaged by a female in any way.

This means simply that if a husband, father, father-in-law or any other “qualified” male deems it necessary, he may
murder the female in question for dishonoring him or the family’s name.  There are no consequences to the male for this crime!

The women who spoke publicly with Greta said that this honor system is costing the lives of many women who may speak out or endanger the government in any way.  As an example to other women to be silent, victims of the “honor” system are beheaded and their heads are placed on poles in front of their homes as a warning to others.

Now please understand, this is not propaganda coming from the Bush administration about the “axis of evil.”  This is from female refugees who are still in touch with relatives in Iraq!  If we can't believe them, who can we believe?

We all know in the West that sad man insein is an evil dictator who will most certainly be judged by God in a most severe way.  We think there is a very hot hole waiting for him close to a couple of guys by the names of hitler and stalin.

We pray that this Judgment will come swiftly in the next few months.

But what is disturbing to us, until this Judgment is rendered, is
the SILENCE of those who claim to be “women’s activists.”

After all, if we can access this information, surely these activists can too!

Where is the National Organization for Women (NOW) in this matter?

Where are the loudmouth voices of Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein?

Where are the Jesse Jacksons, the UN secretary-general, and European leaders such as Jacques Chirac?

We will even dare to say where is John Paul II, who, we still cannot believe, received the Iraqi deputy prime minister, Tariq Aziz, a so-called “Catholic,” and
never once publicly chastised this evil right-hand man of sad man insein!  To say that Aziz is innocent of the “honor” system or somehow is unaware of this situation when we can hear of it on a television news report in the U.S. is equivalent to saying Josef Goebbels didn’t know about the gas chambers!

And finally, where are the millions of worldwide “peace” demonstrators who hold Bush and Blair up as the latest incarnation of nazis!  We are certainly not for Bush or Blair, as anyone who reads this web site knows.

But again, we are for an end to hypocrisy — and those who do not speak out against the insanity of the “honor” system of Iraq that murders innocent women who may have said the wrong thing or “offended” a male in some absurd way are perpetuating a
crime of silence.

A crime that is intensified when they dare to speak against those — whether right or wrong — who would dare to wage war against the 21st-century’s most dishonorable human being since the 20th-century's hitler.

May God have mercy on us all in this mixed-up world of confusion.  If we need anymore evidence that satan is currently reigning as the prince of this world, we can think of none more poignant.

Where's loudmouth Hillary and company when it comes to defending Iraqi women who are having their heads put on poles outside their homes?
On International Women's Day, empty baby carriages are pushed by people who seem to get very emotional about U.S. policy but don't seem to care about the plight of their 'sisters' who face death under Iraqi policy.  We wonder why?
