Going Out on a Limb
Will Another Feast Day Mark War With Iraq?
Before we begin this article, please be assured we do not claim to be prophets nor visionaries.  We do not claim to be “insiders”; nor do we have insider knowledge provided to us.

We have just learned one thing:  in the
Great Spiritual Battle, throw out your secular calendar and look instead at the Church’s calendar of feast days.  While the world may not accept it, the evil one knows what feasts are to be celebrated and how annoyed the Lord gets when, instead of spending these special days in honor of Him or His Mother, we, as individuals, nations and societies, engage in other activities that are anything but spiritual.

We have seen this over and over again.

A perfect example of this is as our great Queen and Mother keeps calling us to prayer — especially the Rosary — we, as individuals, a nation and society, keep ignoring Her.  So while military action against the terrorist camps in Afghanistan was completely justified for our self-defense, our leaders, in their spiritual blindness, sent our military machine against God’s enemies of peace on the wrong day!  The campaign in Afghanistan began on the
Feast of the Holy Rosary, October 7, a date which commemorates Mary’s defeat of the moslem fleet in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.

We should have begun this campaign, which currently has no end in sight to it, on that date, but not with military might, but with the might of the Rosary, asking the Blessed Mother not only for Her intercession to ensure our victory, but to protect our loved ones and nation as the battle ensues.  This is what the great Saints did, just ask St. John of Capistrano.  They didn’t shrink from the battle, but they ensured they had Heaven on their side before going in to the fight.

And that’s why we are going out on a limb in this article.

With all the talk of war against Iraq — a war which has a pre-emptive justification in regard to the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) that saddam insein has accumulated, along with the biological experiments of his secretive employee “Dr. Doom” — will our nation’s leaders turn to the right source to aid us in our battle against evil and its legions?

Since we, as individuals, a nation and society, are not free of the stain of sin and evil, we are in desperate need of Heaven’s help to win a war that is expanding into a worldwide conflict with deep religious undertones.  It is the same war Christianity and Western civilization has been battling since the founding of the islamic scourge more than 1,300 years ago.

It is not just our way of life that is at stake; it is, as we begin this New Year, the future of a world in which more and more madmen are gaining access to WMDs — the same type of madmen like hitler who will not hesitate to use these weapons whether it cost them their lives or not.  Remember, their madness is a demonic presence that hates mankind and would love nothing more than to see its ultimate destruction.

The Lord, of course, will not permit this; but how much of this destruction occurs depends on us and how serious we are to ask Him and His Mother to stop the evil that surrounds us.

Therefore, it is not good for us to begin campaigns against our enemies on feast days when we should be honoring God and seeking His Mother’s aid.

That is why we are concerned, with much of the talk we are hearing whether on the street or in the media, that the possibility of war with Iraq will begin very soon, despite all the political “discussions” and “scenarios” to the contrary.  As we all know, it's not good to make an announcement regarding an attack.

Is a target date of January 6 or February 2 possible for this escalated war campaign to begin?

If this is so, we pray that it not be disastrous in the LONG RUN for our nation.  While events may proceed positively at first, Mary has been warning us through various messages that it is not a good time for our nation to be at war.

These dates, or any other upcoming feast dates, could, in reality, put us behind God’s favor if we, after ignoring His Mother, then set about to wage a campaign — however justified — on a date where we should, as individuals, a nation and society, be worshipping, honoring and adoring God for His great miracles as the King of Peace.

January 6th marks the
Feast of the Epiphany — a Greek word which means “manifestation.”  And this feast celebrates three beautiful manifestations of Christ, and remind one of the new Mysteries of the Rosary John Paul II has recently promulgated.

The first manifestation celebrated January 6th is the Wise Men gazing upon the Christ Child for the first time and offering Him their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

The second is the Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ by St. John when a Voice declared from Heaven,
“This is My Beloved Son!”

And the third is the Lord’s first public miracle changing water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana, most importantly, accomplishing this at the request of His Mother and Queen, and establishing Her as our Mediatrix.

In other words, this is not a good day for any nation to begin bombing anyone else.  It is a day for us to reflect on the Power of God.

And the Power of God does not need guns, bombs, boats, jets, aircraft carriers, and military personnel to effect a change in the world.

The Power of God can bring us the peace that only Jesus can give to the world.

It is a peace that passes all understanding and can be effected in a very special way:  the same way in which He received the gifts of the Wise Men, through the hands of His Holy Mother.  The same way He effected His first miracle, through His Mother’s request and intercession.

It is the same way He expects us to ask for this great gift and desperately sought-after miracle:  peace among the nations and people of the world.  We must do it through the hands of His Holy Mother.

That is why this date is so critical.

And the joke, as all-too-often is said, is on us because in the
Great Spiritual Battle, the “new” Church, this year has moved the Feast of the Epiphany to Sunday, January 5, in order not to inconvenience us poor souls who have so many other “busy” things to do on Monday.  Why should we be bothered with having to go to Church on Sunday as a Holy Day of Obligation and then have to deal with ANOTHER feast to honor the Lord.  After all, one day in the week is enough.  Who does Jesus think He is anyway, God?  Sorry, Lord, one day is more than we can spare for you.  We, as the “new” Church, are just like the federal government.  Ask not what the Church can do for Jesus.  Ask what the Church can do to accommodate its lukewarm parishioners.  Who cares what day the holy day is really on?  If it falls too close to Sunday, we’ll just make it the same day.

Now that is a true deception of the evil one on mankind and the Church!

This day, January 6, 2003, could, then, be a double whammy for mankind.

We already, as believers, have a Lord who could not possibly be happy that we, as the “new” wimp Church can’t take more time with Him than is required and choose to ignore the true date of the
Feast of the Epiphany — a date, which previously for two millennia, has been celebrated by the Universal Church in the East and West on January 6th, whether it fell before or after Sunday.

It will be doubly disastrous, then, if we, as a nation, decide to ignore Him and His Mother as the King and Queen of Peace on this most important feast, or any upcoming feast, such as February 2, the
Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, and begin a war that could have devastating consequences for a world that is in desperate need of its God.

We pray to Mary, our Queen and Patroness of the Americas, that She will intercede with our Lord and ensure that our nation does not make this deadly mistake and anger God, who as Mary has said, is already grievously wounded.  A God, who in His holiness and justice, has already, due to our casting Him aside and dishonoring His Mother, taken away His Hand of Protection and allowed our enemies to come in.

And we pray that we are wrong in our concern and instead of waking up to the beginning of an all-out war on the true
Feast of the Epiphany, or any feast day, we will find a world that has woken up to the power of prayer and Mary as the Queen of Peace:  the only One whose intercession can defeat our enemies and bring about the Reign of Her Son, the King of Peace.
