Novena to the
Holy Face of Jesus

Making Amends
for the
‘Kiss of Judas’
Do we really want peace in the world?

We all say “yes,” but what are we willing to do to bring it about?

Unlike the protesters who marched against any military action in Iraq, many sincere believers know full well the Rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet as weapons to use in our pleas for peace.

But how many know that our Lord and Savior has requested a devotion that surpasses the Rosary and complements
Divine Mercy?

That devotion is to the
Holy Face of Jesus.

What we must understand as believers is that the Lord has created
“bookends” for the Lenten and Easter seasons.

On one end, previous to the beginning of the Lenten season, is the devotion He has requested to His
Holy Face and His Passion that He suffered for all mankind on His Way to and on the Cross.

During Lent, we remember that Passion with the
Stations of the Cross.

At the end, we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ with Easter.

And, then, on the following Sunday, on the other bookend, we have access to an outpouring of Jesus’ graces in the
Divine Mercy Feast.

Most understand Lent, the Stations and Easter.

Although John Paul II has made it a feast in the Universal Church, many priests are behind in their understanding of the
Divine Mercy devotion; many believers, however, comprehend this great gift and take advantage of its enormous graces.

Unfortunately, hardly anyone knows or is paying attention to our Lord’s request that before we commemorate all of these incredible events,
we first make reparation to His Holy Face for the “kiss of judas.”

And, as we are about to enter the Lenten season, we have a chance to plead with Jesus for peace on Earth and His Reign as the
King of All Nations through this great devotion to His Holy Face!

This specific devotion to the Lord’s
Holy Face was approved long ago by Pope Pius XII — one of the greatest popes who ever lived and who has been attacked by the evil one for one of the greatest dogmas ever promulgated:  the Assumption of Mary!  That is why we hear all this nonsense about Pius XII aiding and abetting nazis, when, in reality, he was saving as many people as possible from the horror of the gas chambers.

those who honor Mary in a special way, like Pius XII, are going to be attacked.

The same is true for those who honor the
Holy Face of Christ!  So this great pontiff is also under attack for this reason; another devotion that the evil one knows more about than most believers.

It is the promulgation by Pius XII to declare the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday as
“Shrove Tuesday.” This includes a special Mass for the day — one which most priests have never heard of.  And it also includes the pontiff’s approval of the nine-day Novena to the Holy Face of Jesus that precedes Shrove Tuesday.  The Novena was requested by our Lord in the 1930s to Sister Maria Pierina.

While the Lord was speaking to Saint Faustina in the 1930s setting up His request for the
Divine Mercy Feast, He was also speaking to Sister Maria Pierina, setting up His request for a feast day dedicated to His Holy Face!

Today, Sister Maria Pierina is now known as Mother Pierina.

How fascinating that Jesus would choose this nun with this particular name as His vessel to promote devotion to His
Holy Face.  A devotion Jesus has been working on since the day He was born in the manger.

Why is this fascinating?

Because back in the mid-1800s, the Lord will reveal to another nun the great blessings He bestows upon those who venerate His
Holy Face, a devotion He requested not just before we begin Lent, but for every Tuesday of the year.  Interestingly, the name of the nun who received this request from Jesus was Sister Marie Pierre.

The name of both nuns translates to Mary of Peter!

Names so special in the symbolism of our Lord.

Mary, as in the Name of the Woman who gave Jesus His Sacred Holy human Face; and Peter, as in the name of the one who gazed upon the Passion of our Lord’s Face three times in denial before coming to his senses as the Rock who will martyr himself for the Gospel as the first vicar of Jesus’ Church.

A Church that the Lord is still waiting on to universally venerate His
Holy Face.

On April 17, 1958, Pope Pius XII will confirm the
Feast of the Holy Face of Jesus based on Mother Pierina’s revelations, and join Pope Leo XIII who confirmed the Archconfraternity of Reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus in the late 1800s based on the revelations of Sister Marie Pierre. A confraternity St. Therese will join as a child.

The history and list of Saints and popes involved in this incredible devotion to Jesus’
Holy Face is a long and great study — especially for those who love the Shroud of Turin.

But we will let another web site give the details on this fascinating and relevant devotion to the Lord’s
Holy Face and the nine-day Novena.  They have done so for the last 25 years:  it is the Holy Face Association in Montreal, Canada.

If anyone reading this is truly interested in peace on Earth and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ as God, Savior and King, we urge you to click on the link provided to the
Holy Face Association and begin the Novena which starts on Sunday, February 23.  Go to the Prayers link at the top of their home page, and then click on the Novena link.

Those who wish to be a part of this Novena and may have missed the beginning, please ask our great Queen and Mother to give the necessary
“graces” to begin the Novena by saying the days you missed and “catch up” to the current day.

For those who engage in this devotion, we ask you to ask Him to Reign on Earth as He does in Heaven during the petitions of the Novena.  Perhaps, you can add just this simple prayer to your requests:

“O Jesus, King of All Nations, make Your Reign be recognized on Earth, in honor of Your Mother, the Queen of All Nations and the Queen of Peace!”

And as you do honor the
Holy Face of Christ, no matter what your petitions, know full well the tremendous blessings you and your loved ones will receive for making reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus, as He requested, for the “kiss of judas.”

“All those who, attracted by My Love, and venerating My Countenance, shall receive, by virtue of My Humanity, a brilliant and vivid impression of My Divinity.  This splendor shall enlighten the depths of their souls, so that in eternal glory the Celestial Court shall marvel at the marked likeness of their features with my Divine Countenance.”

In John Paul II's message
for World Mission Sunday released Friday, the pope
urged believers to
contemplate the
Face of Christ
when praying the
Rosary in order to gain
"a deeper, interior familiarity with His mystery."
