On the Murder of a Pedophile
If you are looking for Truth — not ours, but His, proven by Scripture — read on.
With dismay we read the “politically correct,” “charitable” and “diplomatic” statement of the Boston archdiocese regarding the death of a man who not only committed a heinous crime more than once, but has brought scandal to the Church and cost the possible salvation of not only some of his victims, but those who may have been converted to the true faith UNTIL the publicity of his crimes became worldwide news.
An official spokesman for the archdiocese stated that the Church would “pray” for the “repose” of the defrocked and murdered “priest,” John Geoghan.
Are they joking?
It came as no surprise when we heard the news that this convicted pedophile had been murdered in prison.
We have an immediate family member who was a prison guard at a federal penitentiary and a close friend who currently works at one of the notorious California state “correctional” facilities. If there is one crime or criminal other prisoners look down upon and cannot stand, it is those who commit unspeakable acts against children.
These evil and perverted minds that have abused children are purposely targeted for retribution by prison inmates; perhaps, we theorize, because so many who wind up behind bars were once victims of abuse — whether sexual or otherwise.
The evil and perverted defrocked “priest,” Geoghan, fits perfectly into this category of retribution.
Even in prison, his legacy continued to affect those who had been abused, as Patrick McSorley — the victim who opened the floodgates to this incredible scandal that continues to plague the Church in the news — was found floating in a river recently under mysterious circumstances. To this day, we have not seen a report, as McSorley recovers, as to whether this event was an “accident” or a suicide attempt.
It is important to understand the root of pedophile stems from the Greek “pedo” which means “child” or “boy,” and “phile” is a Greek term for “a strong preference for” as in who one chooses to “love.”
As a “priest,” Geoghan certainly should have been aware of not only his responsibilities to children and their innocence, but even more importantly, the spiritual admonitions of our Lord (and this goes for the bishops who allowed this as well)!
For Geoghan had a “preference” to “love” boys in the wrong way, no matter what any of today’s psychology “doctorates” may tell us! The “love” this pervert exhibited truly is a homosexual manifestation; a sin of lust and one against innocence!
And Jesus ensured in the Scriptures that He did not warn us once, or twice, but THREE times regarding crimes of this nature (or should we say, against nature). Importantly, the warning comes in our Lord’s dissertation on what we must do to enter the Kingdom of Heaven:
“Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And he that shall receive one such little child in My Name, receiveth Me. But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in Me, IT WERE BETTER FOR HIM THAT A MILLSTONE SHALL BE HANGED ABOUT HIS NECK, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless, woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh. And if thy hand or foot scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee to go into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. … See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their Angels in Heaven always see the Face of My Father who is in Heaven!”
Matthew 18:3-10
Jesus repeated this incredible warning in Mark 9:41 and Luke 17:2.
Interestingly, the Lord ensures He mentions the word “millstone” once again in the New Covenant. It is in the Book of Apocalypse (18:21) when God reveals His Judgment against Babylon:
“And a mighty Angel (St. Michael?) took up a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: ‘With such violence as this shall Babylon, that great city, be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all!’ ”
Harming children and the Judgment of the evil city of Babylon sharing a similar eternal fate!
The hypocrisy of Geoghan — and those like him! — have done great harm, not only to Catholicism, but more importantly to children. It is almost too outrageous to contemplate.
NEVER in the history of the Church has such a crime reached such epidemic proportions; yet others want to tell us that the “number” of priests or religious engaged in this activity are “few” compared to the overall members who are “good.” Maybe they are missing the numbers of gay and lesbian militant members of the clergy who “campaign” to assert and affirm their illegitimate lifestyle which propagates this despicable crime against children!
If ever there was a clear indication of those who wish to sweep the bad news under the rug, you will find it where they try to put a “positive spin” on this scandal! You will find it on web sites that tell us the Church is still “solid,” despite the fact that so many priests have been forced to resign in the wake of this scandal. (Notice these web sites also promote the “charismatic” movement! Maybe we can “babel” our way out of this scandal! Is there a reason or clue that the word babel relates to “Babylon”? Another clue for us as believers is how many of those who are bishops, cardinals, priests, nuns, and religious buy into the charismatic movement and then are shown to be part of the homosexual scandal or cover-up plaguing the Church!)
We all know that even if it were just one priest who was a pedophile, that is bad enough; or 10, 100, 1,000 or 10,000. But the hypocrisy of those who use this “spin” that it is a “low” number makes us sick when they neglect the fact that the BISHOPS HAVE BEEN COVERING THIS SCANDAL UP FOR DECADES!!!
And the bishops’ current new “survey” that was the only “accomplishment” of their emergency sex-abuse scandal meeting is a scandal unto itself. Let’s calculate percentages instead of souls; anyone for charts and graphs?
It reminds us of when we were in corporate America and the bosses were found to be engaged in unethical activity. What was their answer? An “ethical decision-making” course for all employees involving the poor people who were not guilty of anything, while the bosses received “bonuses” for making their quota of those who went through the course! (Does this remind anyone of Cardinal Mahony receiving a plaque in St. Peter’s for the “size” of his new pagan cathedral while priests under his watch were [and perhaps still?] engaged in pedophile activity?)
It is NOT an accident, we believe in the Great Spiritual Battle, that John Geoghan was murdered this weekend.
Why?
Because, once again, even in his death, he has adversely impacted the Truth of the Church!
What did we just celebrate Friday?
Who is Saturday dedicated to (in the real Church)?
Who is the focus of our worship on Sunday?
Instead, what did the world hear this weekend?
Was it the incredible reality of the Queenship of Mary on Friday?
Was Mary honored on Saturday as the Queen and Mother of Priests?
Was Sunday’s news filled with the incredible reality of the Most Holy Trinity and our need to worship God, keeping the Sabbath day “holy”?
No!
Instead, it was more bad publicity regarding the Church — a reflection, unfortunately, to the unbeliever and the secular world, including protest-ants, that it is “impossible” for the dogmas of this scandal-plagued institution to be correct.
We are completely cognizant that these scandals are NOT a reflection on the dogmas of the Church! That is why we are fighting this battle! That is why we are so bold in our words! We must teach the secular world that the two — dogmas vs. scandals — are NOT related!
No one has to tell us that this train of thought against the dogmas by those who are not Catholics is completely wrong. Nor does anyone have to tell us that these scandals also cause doubt about Catholicism among our young people and those who may be struggling.
There is a reason for all this.
The scandals, surprise, are the work of the devil!
And the death of John Geoghan at this time does not help those who are already in a state of confusion or denial.
At the same time, there is a very GRAND lesson here for all of us — especially the Church and its self-denying hierarchy!
Geoghan was strangled to death behind bars!
Strangled as if a millstone were hung about his neck!
An awful way to die and an ASSURED SIGN HE NO LONGER HAD THE LORD’S HAND OF PROTECTION UPON HIM!
Instead, he had the Lord’s CURSE upon him!
We can all play the game — and we won’t be surprised when we see it from various web sites or pulpits — that we should pray for the “repose” of the soul of John Geoghan and others like him.
We can pray all we want.
But we believe with all our hearts and souls that to pray for John Geoghan and those like him is an exercise in futility.
FOR GOD’S JUSTICE WILL NOT BE MOCKED!
Did Geoghan go to Confession? Did he receive “absolution”? Was he forgiven of his sins by another priest, bishop or cardinal?
Doesn’t that famous line Clark Gable uttered in Gone With the Wind apply here?
Do we really think that God said all those things and warned us three times so we could go to Confession and say, “Ha, ha! I did it and got away with it!”
Do we really think that every time Geoghan abused a child and then consecrated the Host with dirty hands that God said, “I will forgive him his sins”?!
A man who used the cover of his priesthood to harm children is even more despicable to our God of Justice than we can imagine! And NO AMOUNT of Confession, absolution or any other vehicle of forgiveness applies to those who abuse God’s Mercy! Indeed, it is not interesting to note that Pope John Paul II did NOT offer this man absolution or forgiveness while he was alive?!
Why?
John Geoghan did not commit ONE offense against children, but hundreds! The concept of Confession, absolution and Divine Mercy is to go and sin no more!
John Geoghan, as a “priest,” knew exactly what he was doing, each and every time! (And so did those around him who knew and covered up this scandal!)
As such, Geoghan turned his back on God!
He turned his back on the true work of the priesthood.
John Geoghan DID NOT DO GOD’S WORK!
John Geoghan DID NOT DO THE CHURCH’S WORK!
John Geoghan did the devil’s work!
And of all people, John Geoghan knew it every time he defiled an innocent soul!
Therefore, it is easy to conclude — for those of us who TRULY believe — what happened after his death.
This weekend, John Geoghan did not meet the King of Mercy.
This weekend, John Geoghan, who never conducted a Divine Mercy Feast for one Catholic, did NOT receive Divine Mercy.
This weekend, as indicated by his murder, John Geoghan met the JUST JUDGE!
And the Just Judge — bound by His own Word — had only one sentence to pronounce on a man who, as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, abused children when, instead, he should have cut off his penis rather than meet the fate he is currently serving.
For it is clearly written, “Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the Kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers. Nor the effeminate, nor liers with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, shall possess the Kingdom of God!” I Corinthians 6:9-10.
We are, as the Scriptures clearly teach, living the prophesy of the Lord!
If we believe in Jesus, can we not understand as believers that these verses from our Lord’s own mouth and through His servant Paul bespeak of today?! What better way to show the Truth of God than, instead of being “wimps,” speak of the Justice those will receive for the unspeakable crimes done against His Word!
Divine Mercy or the Just Judge?
We can, as believers, pretend to show “charity,” “forgiveness,” and not throw “stones” at others because we, too, are sinners. We can judge not lest we be judged.
That is for the Church “wimp” when it comes to cases like John Geoghan.
A Church that finds a plethora of bishops, priests and nuns to serve it!
A hierarchy that thinks it can abuse God’s Justice while preaching God’s Mercy!
But the Saints of the Catholic Church would not be members of such a “lukewarm” organization.
The Saints would know it was not only their duty, but moral obligation to speak out — for to speak out is to exercise the first Gift of the Holy Spirit!
That gift is NOT that ridiculous and absurd deception and infection from protest-ant-ism called “speaking in tongues.”
That TRUE gift of the Holy Spirit is the FEAR OF THE LORD!
A gift the bishops NEVER instilled in John Geoghan, as they permitted him to go from one victim to another! It is a gift many of them, too, based on their behavior in this scandal, seem to be lacking. And it is a gift that when lacking can extract a terrible price on the Day of Judgment!
But this incredible gift is one we, if we are true believers, must NOT shy away from as we discuss the scandal in the Church, an incredible offense to God.
For it is THIS gift that will keep us and others from following the fire-consuming soul of John Geoghan and those who — in their “see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil” imitation of a monkey — will follow him into the abyss.
It is this gift, the Fear of the Lord, that the Church “wimp” has lost.
And it is this loss that is sending more people to hell because we are afraid to speak out. Instead, we let people like Geoghan speak for us. And others as well, and we do mean the homosexual and lesbian community within the Church, to not only speak but to “teach” our children!
Anyone who reads this article can pray for John Geoghan.
You are wasting your time!
Better, instead, that we pray that the bishops — who helped him live his perverted lifestyle — publicly proclaim their guilt, and not only get on their knees, but PROSTRATE themselves before the Lord in a Divine Mercy Feast before they, too, follow Geoghan’s pathway that leads to an eternal millstone around their necks!
And that means cleaning their houses of ill-repute as well!
They can start by putting the Blessed Sacrament back in the Center of the Altar; destroying their pagan and entertainment monuments to themselves, and ensuring Mary is back in the liturgy and their lives!
Even here, however, the reality may be that it is too late for some of them as they continue the cover-up and power-play legacy they began when they first shuttled their first pedophile from one diocese to another!
We can only pray that the warning screaming at us in the murder of this pedophile as we live the Lord’s prophesy will change hearts because God — not this web site — has spoken loudly and clearly. How? God has spoken by allowing the evil one to take the central focal point of the pedophile scandal, John Geoghan, from this planet in the murderous way this devil’s servant’s life was ended: strangled as if a spiritual millstone were hung about his neck.
He who has an ear let him hear.
For they who destroy and hurt children, they have no redemption!
