The Circle of Thorns*
* excerpt from a previous story
We are truly tired and saddened by seeing a “Circle of Thorns” around the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  When asked what the Circle of Thorns around His Sacred Heart indicated and whether it was symbolic of the Crown of Thorns around His head, Jesus responded that that was not correct.  The Crown of Thorns, He explained, was put their by His enemies; the Circle of Thorns around His Sacred Heart was put there by His so-called “friends.”

Jesus told St. Faustina, who recorded this in her diary,
Divine Mercy in My Soul, of the anger He feels toward those who claim to be His friends but, instead, are His enemies (Notebook VI, 1702).  St. Faustina wrote, “Towards the end of the Way of the Cross which I was making, the Lord Jesus began to complain about the souls of religious and priests, about the lack of love in chosen souls.  ‘I will allow convents and churches to be destroyed.’ I answered, ‘Jesus, but there are many souls praising You in convents.’  The Lord answered, ‘That praise wounds My Heart, because love has been banished from convents.  Souls without love and without devotion, souls full of egoism and self-love, souls full of pride and arrogance, souls full of deceit and hypocrisy, lukewarm souls who have just enough warmth to keep them alive:  My Heart cannot bear this.  All the graces that I pour out upon them flow off them as off the face of a rock.  I cannot stand them, because they are neither good nor bad.  I called convents into being to sanctify the world through them.  It is from them that a powerful flame of love and sacrifice should burst forth.  And if they do not repent and become enkindled by their first love, I will deliver them over to the fate of this world … .’

Have we not seen living evidence of this Truth?  The scandals embedded within our religious institutions did not happen by accident, but through the
lukewarm activities of a Church hierarchy more interested in golf than in the worship of Christ in the Eucharist!

We have not made up the words of our Lord Jesus to St. Faustina.  We have not invented the news.  Things, as we have tried to point out over and over again, are not happening by “accident.”  We can hide our heads in the sand and pretend it will all go away on its own; we can continue to preach “ecumenism,” or we can take decisive action directly with Who it needs to be taken.

Not with a “vicar.”  Not with a “bishop.”  Not with a “priest.”

But with the One who supersedes
ALL OF THEM.  The One who truly is in charge.  How can we make this impact?

By answering the question,
“What are we praying for?”

We will have no peace until our Lord Jesus is at peace.

And our Lord cannot be at peace with a Crown of Thorns around His head continually put their by His enemies, while His so-called
“friends” put a Circle of
Thorns around His Heart!

He cannot be at peace with a
Sword of Sorrow continuing to pierce His Mother’s Immaculate Heart.

When we pray for peace on Earth we are praying vain and repetitious prayers for it is for our own sake we are praying for and asking over and over again.

We need to pray in a new way.

How should we pray?

We should pray in a way that puts the
personal Peace of Christ first.

His own — and that of His Mother’s.

And so we ask all who read this to be true friends of Christ.

Friends who no longer want to see Him wearing a Crown of Thorns.

Friends who no longer want to encircle His Heart with thorns.

Friends who no longer want to pierce His Mother’s Heart with a sword.

Let us not pray vain and repetitious prayers.

Let us storm Heaven with Rosaries and
Divine Mercy chaplets that include this prayer; a prayer that only the Lord Jesus can accomplish Himself:

Lord, we pray, take off your Crown of Thorns and put on Your Crown of Glory on Earth as You did in Heaven!

Lord Jesus, crucified, have mercy on Yourself and on Your Mother!

Friends don’t like to see friends suffer.

The Lord Jesus has called us his
“friends” and “that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it to you” John 15:14-16.

Let us prove our friendship to Christ by begging the Eternal Father, in the Name of Jesus, not to receive our needs, but to glorify His Son by removing the spiritual Crown of Thorns from our Lord on Earth as the Holy Spirit did in Heaven.

Then, as believers, we may truly be friends of God.
Eternal Father, we beg of Thee,
complete Thy plan of redemption.
Send forth Thy Son in His Glory,
so that the Light of Thy Holy Spirit
may shine forevermore
on the face of the Earth
and in the faces of Thy children!
