| Is History About to Repeat Itself? | ||||||||||||||||
| Today, if all goes according to the way the news reports indicate, the president will meet with an envoy representing the Vicar of Christ on Earth. The conversation, of course, will be the situation in Iraq and war or peace. This will be the second time Rome will be publicly advising Washington regarding administration policy. Last July 2001, our president, George Bush, officially met with our pope, John Paul II, in Rome. At that time, the pope warned America’s leader not to allow scientists in the States to go ahead with stem cell research plans. Two weeks after the meeting, the president gave a “green light” to stem cell research. Just a few weeks later, on the now infamous September 11 date, the U.S. was attacked by cowardly terrorists who slipped in our back door. Almost a year and half later, the space shuttle Columbia disaster occurred. Interestingly, one of the scientific experiments conducted on board the doomed flight was stem cell research. The research was being conducted on behalf of two Israeli scientists by the world’s first Israeli astronaut. Now, the pope has sent an envoy to Washington to, once again, advise the president against a specific course of action. According to the news reports, George Bush will probably not be dissuaded from his plan to disarm the dictator of Iraq, a man, who, by all sane standards, is a threat to the world and America. The pope’s envoy, who brings a plea for peace on this Ash Wednesday, will, of course, be received. But will the pontiff’s plea be “accepted” or “rejected”? In the end, it all breaks down to this simple fact: someone is listening to the voice of Mary as the Queen of Peace. Someone is not. What will be the consequences for those who do not listen to the Queen of Peace? That is anyone’s guess, but if history is any measure of consequences, we may be in for a very rough ride. © 2003 Agnus Dei Presents! |

| ... the Vicar of Christ, who represents the Lord and His Mother. As the Queen of Peace, the Mother of Christ has a standard message for everyone. It is the same message She gave to the world 86 years ago at Fatima. A message the world continues to ignore and, by doing so, engulfed the globe in World War II. Therefore, if the world wants peace, we must -- surprise -- pray the Rosary! When will the most important recipient of this message, for the sake of peace ... |
