Dialogue or War:
Which One Does islam Respond To?
Why did so many Saints call for Crusades against islam?

Saints, such as St. Bernard, who left such fervent prayers to Mary as their Queen and the Mother of God.

Was it because moslems en masse responded to the peace overtures offered to them over the course of time?  Or, is it like today, as we saw in Iraq.  Their rhetoric for “holy war” silencing the calls for “peace.”

We are not for war.

We are not for killing.

The photographs of innocent children and adults who have been maimed in this or any war are enough for anyone to pray for peace.

The problem is, while we want peace,
islam continues to scream “jihad!”

That scream is echoing from September 11, 2001.

Previous to that date, America took it as rhetoric and rhetoric only.

Yes, soldiers were killed, such as the Marines in Beirut, or diplomats were killed in foreign lands.  But that was all part of our nation reaching out to others and trying to be a “peacemaker” in a region.

Even when “jihad” extended to American aircraft and passengers, we still saw it as an international incident and not one to go to war over.

All that changed on September 11.

Perhaps the pope does not understand this.

Perhaps France does not as well.

It does not matter.  For the American public understands it.

In America’s decision to root out a regime that blatantly supported terrorism, it has become apparent that, unfortunately, the only thing islam understands is not dialogue, but the barrel of a gun.

As the believers in this false religion continue to lie to themselves
— whether by preaching or listening and acting out —  that homicidal bombings will bring a believer personal eternal salvation and a ticket to Paradise, we, in the West, must understand we are not dealing with a sane enemy.  For any sane person — no matter what their upbringing — should be able to question the inescapable knowledge placed in the very conscience of every human being, and put there by Almighty God Himself, that one does not get to Heaven by blowing one’s self up and as many others, including innocent women and children, as one can.

For a people, such as the believers in islam, to preach otherwise makes a mockery of the very 10 Commandments they claim they believe, such as the all-encompassing, “Thou shalt not kill” — which includes one’s self.

(This is why we refuse, editorially, to even give one ounce of respect to this false religion by upper-casing the first letter of islam or its so-called 'prophet' mohammed.  When the leaders of this false faith stop preaching to its young people to kill themselves in the name of 'allah" we will reconsider our editorial policy!)

We can only now pray, in the aftermath of Iraq, that the rest of the islamic fundamentalists who cheered the destruction of the World Trade Center and the killings of
“Jews” will now think twice before attacking again.

As an American official said after his meeting with Vatican officials last week, we hope the
sponsors of terrorism, such as Syria, Iran, or any other islamic-oriented nation, have learned the appropriate lesson.

We pray so; but we do not think so.

No wonder the Saints of the 2nd Millennium, such as St. John Capistrano, called — under the Names of  Jesus and Mary — for
a Crusade against the true infidels of islam.
