Do We 'Die Another Day'?

This is not about being a prude. We are not going to change the world. Only He can
This about waking up spiritually to the hidden battle that is all around us every day. It is a battle that is fought in signs, symbols and words. It is not a battle that most people think of. And that is why our children and society are in the awful spiritual and moral shape we find ourselves.
Most adults cannot ascertain that which is good from that which is evil, let alone teach the difference between the two to their children. So while we live in the world, we must not loose our focus on not being part of the world. To live in the world is to understand what is going on around us. To not be part of the world is to avoid activities and enticements (temptations) that are offered to us every day.
Yet if we told our children not to see the latest James Bond film we would certainly be considered to be prudes. So how can we combat the deadly deceits of this type of media? By at least offering the children an understanding of the subliminal influences of the media.
In an age where the New Age movement has so many adults fooled into believing that reincarnation is real, we need to remind them of the Truths the Holy Spirit has spoken to us in the Bible. Hence, while the movie title is innocuous and does not speak of reincarnation, it is a point to be made that we do die but once. Then, after our death, just as the film's actors, actresses and others involved with the movie will find out, will come our Judgment. Again, it is vital to understand we are not condemning anyone. Again, only He can.
But despite all their worldly acclaim, riches, etc., do we really want to account for what these actors, actresses, writers, directors, etc., have said and done in their films which are repeated ad infinitum?
One of the things the Lord has vehemently complained of over the years to various Saints, who were priviliged enough to hear Him, is His abhorrence to the use of His Name in vain. Can you imagine what these people who have engaged in the casual use of, or cursed, using the Name of Jesus in a film will feel when they face the Lord Jesus and have to make an account of this before Him?
While we have not seen Die Another Day yet to state whether this has occurred in the film or not, it is just a prime example of what we are trying to make others understand. There will be a penalty for this type of activity and it will not be imposed by us. Only He can.
What we are trying to explain here is that most people are engaging UNWITTINGLY in activity that is MOST displeasing to the Lord. Others are WITTINGLY engaging in it. Our problem as a society is that usually we cannot tell which is which.
So let's look at some odd facts involving this film and the news that currently surrounds it:
* The lead female character is named, "Jinx." The Latin and Greek roots of this word mean "to call." This word stems from a witchcraft ceremony involving a wryneck bird when calling upon evil spirits.
* The hit video from the movie features a woman who has made a career out of being the wrong Madonna. Interestingly, the wrong Madonna recently stated on Larry King's show that she had found spiritual happiness in studying the cabbala, a supposed "mystical" interpretation of Judaism that reveals the world's first monotheistic religion's "hidden" meanings. In the 1800s, the cabbala found its home in freemasonry, an occult organization that has been continually condmened by true believers in Christianity for centuries (see link). In the video, the wrong Madonna has Hebrew lettering tattoed on her arm. Like the caballa, this lettering on the wrong Madonna does not identify Jesus Christ as the Messiah of Israel or that He is the fulfillment of the Hebrew Scriptures.
* The movie was oddly released on November 22, which marked the exact date of one of the worst crimes in American history, the assassination of the first and only Catholic president. This is not a tribute to a man who was not a role model. But in the Great Spiritual Battle, the King of Camelot was murdered in front of every man, woman and child in the United States. From that date on, we can mark the profound change in the moral and spiritual attitude of America's children and what the media has fed us since.
* In that regard, instead of a rememberance of JFK, the big media news outside of the Bond movie was "new" revelations regarding the supposed "crash of an alien spacecraft" near Roswell, New Mexico.
Technology was utilized to "reveal" words on a memo in a photograph that was digitized to expose the unseen letters. We bet our bottom spiritual dollar that while the UFO folks ate up every bit of this latest deception, they would be the first to tell you that they do not believe the Shroud of Turin is real. No matter how much science or science fiction one wants to believe in, ultimately it matters not. What really matters is what does the Face on the Shroud say to you? It is spiritually saddenning how many cannot recognize their God and Savior in His most profound moment of Love for His creation.
* And finally, the media keeps up its frenzy regarding possible war with Iraq, while ignoring the fact that the newest Doctor of the Church and "greatest Saint of modern times," as Pius X called her, is visiting that devastated nation under the guise of her relics. While the bones of St. Therese, the "Little Flower," are being venerated by the minority Catholic population, the media focuses on a December 8 deadline for war between the West and the evil regime of Iraq. St. Therese would be the first to tell all -- whether Catholic or not, East or West, good or evil -- to focus not on war that day, but on the greatest miracle God has granted one of His creatures: for December 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary!
While there are many misconceptions about this feast (far too many to go into with this article), the celebration of Mary being born without Original Sin so She can bear the Word of God without being consumed by His Holy Justice (for the the Holy Spirit CANNOT tolerate sin of any kind) has been with us since the 8th Century. Remember, this is a Truth of the 1st Millennium Church! Historically, it became dogma in the Catholic Church in 1854.
"Coincidentally," (and please remember there are no coincidences in God's universe), December 8, 2002 will be just another critical time when we, as a nation, will ignore our heavenly Queen's feasts and, instead, focus on war. As an example, when the U.S. rightfully sent in troops to root out terrorists in Afghanistan, we chose the wrong day to focus on it. It was October 7th when we began the campagin against Moslem terrorists, the day the Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Rosary. This feast was instituted because Mary, under the banner of Her Image as Our Lady of Guadalupe, helped the Christians of Europe defeat the Moslems terrorists in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. If this event did not occur in favor of the Catholic navy, Europe today would be like Turkey -- a land mass that once was Christian and is now Islamic.
Therefore, if we want to defeat Islamic terrorism today, we do not need more guns, bombs, boats and planes. We do not need more deadly deceits of the media. We need to turn to Mary with the prayer She has instituted and Her Son has approved, such as the Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet! Want to help Her in Her battle to defeat our enemies?
