| When Will We Learn Our Lesson? The Hidden Tragedy of the Nightclub Fire |
||||||||||||
| All of America was once more shocked by senseless death; horrific by any standards. First the stampede in Chicago; now the Rhode Island fire. There is only one thing we can do for the victims of both Chicago and the Rhode Island nightclub fire, whether living or dead. Our prayers go not only with them, but for their families as well. While the latest fire and tragedy are shocking unto themselves, even more shocking is the callous minds who do not comprehend the role they have played in the eternal fate of those whose lives were cut short. The lead “singer” of the “band” at the heart of this tragedy stated that the nightclub went up in flames like it was the “Fourth of July.” Brilliant. Has he gotten on his knees yet before God to ask for forgiveness regarding his role in the death of so many? As the story linked shows, he is only playing finger-pointing. But each one of the souls who died, and those who are suffering in hospitals as a result of the fire, are souls that are being charged directly to this man, as well as to the others involved. What we wish to point out in this tragedy is how little we understand as humans the complete effect we have on people’s lives and eternal destiny. As a nation, especially among our young people, we have not yet learned the lesson of the World Trade Center attack and how easily life slips from our bodies at a moment’s notice. We believe those who did not know that evening as they were “partying” that they were about to meet their Creator would now — in hindsight — wish that this “event” was not their last moment on Earth. Those who remain behind after this horrific experience need to understand — as we all need to do — that life is a one-shot with no second chances and Eternity is for ever. As the young people who died as a result of the “performance” of this band found out, there is no eternal reward for nightclub activities. Now, those who were involved — from the band that used the pyrotechnics, to the provider of the fireworks, to the club owners who had no sprinkler system installed, to the authorities in Rhode Island like those in the Chicago nightclub stampede who were negligent in their duties as public safety officials — all have a hand in the end of the lives of the victims of these tragedies. They are all going to be shocked — unless there is sincere repentance — that they will be held accountable by the Just Judge on their Day of Judgment. While we, as individuals, can believe that we have done nothing wrong (“I didn’t start the fire!”), it is not so in the Eyes of the Lord. This is not a time to lay blame on one individual when so many are at fault. The state will press criminal charges against those directly involved, but that is not the point of the lesson. We must all be cognizant of the fact that there is nothing we do on this planet that does not have an eternal effect on the lives and souls of the people we interact with. That lesson should have already been brought home in the 3 hours of terror we all witnessed just a little over a year ago. The tragedy that we are speaking of and that no one seems to wish to speak of is the fact that despite the lesson of the World Trade Center, America has still not changed its ways. While we judge no one in the nightclub disaster, we do question the minds of those who continue to “party” as we are on the brink of war. A war that will claim many innocent lives from many innocent nations. The victims in any upcoming war are lives, like those that went before them, that sad man insein will have on his soul for all of Eternity. We can all see the insanity of the Iraqi dictator and his evil legacy. On the other hand, we must begin to understand that evil has various levels before our God. The obvious evil of sad man insein is the extreme. But it is just as insane and evil to lead America’s children down a path of destruction for the sake of money, pleasure and fame. This is NOT a time, as so many continue to refuse to recognize, for our nation to continue its “party.” It is a time for our nation to get serious and get on its knees. We have enough deceivers in our “cultural diversity” to entice our children away from the Truth. The “entertainment” industry is rife with them. As parents, we will also be held responsible for whether or not our children are at least educated regarding the Truth of God’s Laws and requirements. What they do with that education, when they become adults, is of their own free will. In this nation’s blindness and complacency, we are failing miserably in this matter before our God as evident from the continued attitude of our children. It is a judgment our teachers (which is “rabbi” in Hebrew) will also be held accountable for. God is not only a God of Mercy, but also a God of Justice. The Truth is there are eternal rewards for what we do in life and eternal justice for what we fail to do. If anyone needs proof of this, the Lord’s statement alone that so-called “ministers” who teach children not to pray “Hail Mary” are in danger of eternal damnation shows how serious the Lord is regarding His Justice and the education of our children. If this is not enough proof for us, the Lord’s vision to St. Faustina — His Secretary of Divine Mercy — is further evidence. Jesus showed the 3rd Millennium’s 1st Saint how many souls who had no cares but to dance their lives away fell off a cliff and into the abyss. If we, as a nation, do not learn the horrific lesson of these tragedies that we are living videotaped before our eyes, we can only expect more of the same. How many fires will it take before we, as human beings, take seriously the eternal fires of damnation? How many tragedies will it take before we, as believers, get serious and ask God to end the suffering, sorrows and sadness of this world in the only way possible: by granting, in His great Mercy and Love, and in honor of His Mother’s prayers, the Reign of the Sacred Hearts. © 2003 Agnus Dei Presents! |

| In this horrific image as the deadly fire begins, an unknown man is holding his clenched fist with index and pinky fingers raised. This is a popular symbol used at heavy-metal concerts, but it has its origins as a sign of the devil. Did this young person know the origins of the symbol? Is this person alive today? If not, this may have been their last act -- knowingly or unknowingly -- raising the devil's horns before they met their Creator. Did this person and others perhaps learn to use this symbol by listening to recordings and videos of America's "favorite TV dad" who calls himself the "prince of darkness," one (gag) ozzy osbourne? |
