| protest-ants in disguise Has Mary approved the charismatic movement? |

| Remembering full well what the most deadly sin is, we again find it laughable and tragic as the numbers grow of those who believe they are “filled with the Holy Spirit” by “speaking in tongues” when, instead, they are a growing danger within the Church. Then these same people point to their growing numbers as a source of pride. We have studied this phenomenon and have come to the conclusion that first and foremost, how can anything good come to Catholicism which has its roots in protest-ant-ism? It is an infection that is turning those who practice this absurd “speech” into protest-ants in disguise! To think that a Vatican “spokesperson” would equate Catholics with those in the “pentecostal” belief system shows just how ludicrous this has become! And to think no one in authority challenges him on it! Anyone for the Vatican-approved harmless Harry Potter series? And then, far more importantly, we have studied the messages of the Blessed Virgin Mary -- all of them. And never, not once, especially in any Church-approved instructions -- now remember this most important of all points -- has THE SPOUSE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ever indicated to Catholics to use, or condoned the use of, or lauded those who claim to “speak in tongues”! In fact, Mary has done just the opposite. She has indicated for us not to use our tongues like babbling idiots, but to use the most incredible gift God has given to mankind which raises us above the animals -- the power of speech -- in the prayerful expression of the Rosary! A prayer one must use meditative and contemplative skills to accomplish. (And we know that there are those in the charismatic movement who promote and pray the Rosary, and they would do well to stick to the formula and not deviate into the false and unprofitable area of “tongues”!) We particularly have reviewed the 25 years of messages Mary gave to Father Stefano Gobbi, the founder of the Marian Movement of Priests. Messages that have been reviewed and approved by many cardinals and bishops. A movement which Mary started to bring Her Son's representatives back to the most important job they had forgotten in the “spirit of Vatican II” -- the job of praying! And the whole point of the Marian Movement was to bring priests back to -- not “speaking in tongues” -- but reciting, meditating and contemplating the Mysteries of the Rosary! Not raising their hands as protest-ants do and babbling like idiots, but holding the Sacred Host aloft like Padre Pio would do in worship and honor of our Savior in the Eucharist! With all the mystical gifts he was given by God, we don't recall St. Pio speaking in babbling tongues, does anyone? The most valuable prayer Mary gave to Father Gobbi was a prayer directly to the Holy Spirit! And Mary specifically did not indicate that one would babble like an idiot after reciting this prayer! Instead, Mary said the power of the Holy Ghost would come upon us in Wisdom! There is no gobbledygook in this prayer. It is straight forward so that anyone may understand it (see the end of this article for the prayer). Its value cannot be denied, whereas the public heresy of “speaking in tongues” is anti-Scriptural, as we have already pointed out in an earlier article, with which we see a line in the sand was drawn between those who believe in this nonsense and promote it, vs. those who not only disbelieve it but dare to speak out against the absurdity of it. This is good. We have always stated that we are not offering a goody-two-shoes look at what is going on in the world today, but the hard-hitting approach Pope St. Felix III recommended so long ago (and he didn't speak in tongues either!); an approach which has been forgotten by those who have become complacent in Catholicism that everything is okay, despite the fact that the Church is going through the worst scandal in its history! And it's not over yet! Let's see, worst scandal in the history of the Church post-Vatican II and the charismatic movement is part of that “spirit” that led us to this point in time! A movement that would have been excommunicated previous to the pastoral council if it reared its head before the popes and Saints of the pre-Vatican II eras. Would Pope St. Pius X speak in tongues? St. Maximilian Kolbe? St. Faustina? Pope Pius XII? Does Sister Lucia, the surviving seer of Fatima, speak in tongues, or has she ever recommended it or claimed the Virgin recommended it? In these questions, any sane Catholic knows the answers are a resounding, “NO!” In this regard, we want to again make this valid and challenging point to anyone: name ONE SAINT who spoke in the babbling idiocy of today's “tongues” or approved, recommended or was given messages to promulgate such nonsense! Anyone who reads this page knows our e-mail address -- send it to us; we guarantee we will not hear from one charismatic person because there ARE NO SAINTS who fit into this category. And please don't give us the nonsense about any of today's “visionaries” or students at a university who want on a retreat and received the “gift”! When they have been properly investigated and are canonized, we will consider their messages as Church-approved. This leaves us with one person who holds any weight and has given his blessing to the charismatic movement, the current pope, John Paul II. We, again, reiterate our support of him and the fact that he is truly Mary's pope. But was he Mary's pope when he refused to accept the resignation of former Phoenix bishop Thomas O'Brien after the bishop admitted he lied to his congregation and covered-up pedophile activity within his diocese? In reality, the Lord showed us what He thought of John Paul's refusal to accept this resignation when it was offered by forcing the pope to accept it after O'Brien, a very short time later, became involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed the victim. Remember, nothing happens to the anointed of the Lord unless He permits it! Wasn't this a message from God Himself that the pope was wrong in not accepting the resignation of O'Brien who signed a precedent-setting agreement with the masonic district attorney's office relinquishing power the Church sure never yield to secular authorities? Is John Paul II Mary's pope when the Vicar of Christ has allowed the Church to fall into such liturgical abuse that Her Son has become a Suffering Victim in His own House in the neglect of the Eucharist? Is John Paul II Mary's pope when he continues to do nothing in regard to those in the hierarchy whose hands are so stained with scandal that they should be excommunicated, let alone allowed to remain in their positions of authority? The point is, John Paul II, like any pope, unless he is speaking from the Chair of Peter, is fallible and can make mistakes. The pope, as is obvious when we look around us (and this goes for any pope, not just John Paul) can appoint a bad cardinal or bishop; make a bad political move or just be wrong spiritually. We will take this fact up in the simple comprehension that it was St. Faustina who said the Lord was using her messages to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Christ. We didn't make that up; yet despite championing the Divine Mercy message, John Paul II gets cold feet when speaking of Christ's return in order not to excite the faithful or get the Church involved in date-setting that could lead to an embarrassing situation if the time -- like what happened to protest-ants with 9/9/99 and Y2K -- comes and go without an event happening. Another modern point of reference for the faithful to remember when it comes to a pope making a spiritual mistake is obvious when we review the great Pius XI, who failed to heed Mary's call in 1930 to consecrate Russia. Or John XXIII's error when he refused in 1960 to reveal the so-called “3rd Secret” of Fatima. And for the best reference point in a pontiff making a huge spiritual error, we need not look any further than Paul VI who allowed the Latin liturgy to be completely dismantled in favor of the Novus Ordo (or “nervous disorder” as our Greek brothers refer to it). It was outlandish to think that so much hoopla was made out of the fact that a cardinal finally said the Tridentine Mass in the Basilica of St. Mary Major this year after decades of absence! The astounding fact and real story is that permission even had to be obtained! One final note on popes being in spiritual error becomes obvious when we consider that John XXIII and Paul VI, ignored the writings of one of the greatest Saints who ever lived, the Secretary of Divine Mercy, Faustina. Her writings at this time were even banned by the Church! Was that a correct spiritual choice or a grave spiritual blunder? If you believe, as we do, in the incredible Gift of Divine Mercy, there is no contest in comprehending that popes can make spiritual mistakes. Just ask all those souls who died and did not get the chance to receive Divine Mercy because the Church, as it continues to do so today, was slow in implementing this incredible gift. This brings us to another point about Mary's pope: is John Paul II Mary's pope when he allows bishops to ignore his decree to institute this universal feast in their dioceses? So we will again ask those who believe and think that babbling like an idiot is a gift of the Holy Spirit: what evidence do you provide those, such as this web site, that you are engaging in an activity that Mary approves of? What message can you point to? What Saint? What is the difference between your babbling and that which we see in protest-ant-ism? What is the difference between your nonsensical speech and that of a pentecostal? Answer us this: how can the Holy Spirit provide this gift to those who do not honor His Spouse or may even dishonor Her by rejecting Her Queenship? And please don't tell us the answer to our question is how good you feel “spiritually,” because, as we all know, one can follow the evil one or the deceptions of evil spirits and feel “good” spiritually. Feeling “good” doesn't mean one is engaged in good activities. We will make one last statement in this light: those who believe in this ridiculousness are the very ones who seem not concerned with protest-ants who attack the dogmas of the Church as long as we are making “progress” in “ecumenism” -- the very word that has brought Catholicism to the sad shape it currently is in. It is time to clarify what John Paul II's mission really is from Mary. It is not an “ecumenism” that sacrifices the dogmas and Truths of Catholicism that our Queen wishes from Her pope. Does anyone dare to suggest otherwise? It is a mission Mary has given the pope to reconcile the world and the various Christian branches with the true Rock of Peter. Mary is calling everyone, as apparent from Her messages, home, whether secular or Christian. How people respond to that call will determine their ultimate fate. For Her Son, as the King of Justice, is not far off and then it will be too late for the schismatics, heretics, agnostics, atheists, liars, and seducers. (And, again, please do not think that we are stating that all those in the Catholic charismatic movement are among this list or going to hell. But we do believe they are sure going to be shocked when they find out they have some cleanup time in Purgatory despite the Rosaries they have said!) But John Paul II -- a changed man from the pope who excommunicated Archbishop Lefebvre before the pontiff was shot -- does not wish to alienate anyone. He is more concerned with holding the fragile fabric of the Catholic Empire together as it continues its splintering between those who want more liberalism and those who want a return to conservatism. In that concern, we believe John Paul II has approved the charismatic movement not because he speaks in tongues -- although, as we pointed out, he does in the real sense by speaking so many languages -- but because he does not wish to alienate such a large and growing movement. The pope already has enough schismatics on his hands without turning the charismatics into one as well. Therefore, we see his recent approval as not a spiritual one, but a political one. If we are wrong, then let the pope speak from the Chair of Peter! What will happen when John Paul departs this world (isn't it interesting that he has asked the faithful to pray for him “after” his death twice now?) and the next pope inherits the mess of the current hierarchy and splinter groups? Only the Lord knows. We pray, however, that there will be NO new pope after the departing of John Paul to his heavenly rewards for a very difficult time in the Church's history. We pray, instead, that the Lord will use the opportunity to be the only One who can guide the Church and the world back to His Most Sacred Heart! And despite what some visionaries claim, Jesus will not be doing this in a quiet way; it will be as the Scriptures declare, in power, majesty and might! Until then, we know what we will continue to do. We will not babble in tongues. We will not speak in unknown languages. For clearly, Mary, the Spouse of the Holy Ghost and Mother of the Church, has NOT approved speaking in tongues. Nor would She approve something which has its roots in protest-ant-ism, a movement that has denied Her rights as Queen and invokes Her Spouse while insulting Her. Those who speak in tongues are in a divided Kingdom for some cannot be right while others are wrong. Either the whole movement is spirit-filled or none of it is! There is no in between in this matter. Since protest-ants are the ones who brought the world this nonsense, we can be assured the true Kingdom of Christ is not involved in a movement that has its roots in dishonoring and rejection of His Queen! We will speak in the prayers Mary has been imploring us to use since She first asked for them at the beginning of the 2nd Millennium -- when the battle between the Woman Clothed With the Sun and the evil one took its turn in the mimicking of the Sorrowful Mysteries. We now pray for the institution of the Glorious Mysteries on Earth as they are in Heaven! We will pray the Rosary, the Divine Mercy chaplet, the Angelus, and we will tell others, who ask, how to receive more knowledge from God about the Great Spiritual Battle. It is not in babbling like an idiot. It is simple to receive this knowledge if you truly open up your heart in deep prayer and begin by reciting the very words that Mary gave to Father Gobbi -- a prayer that does not invoke a babbling tongue, but a heart, mind and voice concentrating on the praise and worship due to God alone and in the honor of the only One who can call Herself the Daughter, Mother and Spouse of the Most Holy Trinity! Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your well-beloved Spouse! Message below given to Father Gobbi by Mary on May 30, 1982, Feast of Pentecost “Through interior sufferings and by means of trials which will bring it to relive the bloody hours of the Passion through which My Son Jesus lived [in other words, the last meditation of the Sorrowful Mysteries], the Church will be led to its divine splendor. It will be healed of the wounds of error, which have spread like a hidden cancer and which threaten the deposit of faith. It will be cured of the leprosy of sin, which obscures its sanctity. It will be purified of all those human elements, which separate it from the Spirit of the Gospel. ... This is, then, the hour of the Holy Spirit. He will come to you in all His fullness, by means of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, His most beloved Spouse.” Does anyone read a hint of “speaking in tongues” in this message? Have we yet experienced the total and complete Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary? The Holy Spirit will come to us through the one method Mary has told us consistently will bring about Her Triumph: not speaking in tongues, but in the recitation of the Rosary! © 2003 Agnus Dei Presents! |
