We Can Change the World!
There is no better prayer to change the world than one that takes aim directly at the Sacred Heart of the Lord and Savior of the world, our King, Jesus Christ.
This Friday, January 3, is, interestingly, the first Friday of the New Year and the third such time this has occurred in the 3rd Millennium.
In honor and worship of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it has been a pious act for centuries of the Church Militant to consecrate one’s self to the Lord in this manner on the first Friday of every month as an act of reparation.
Therefore, we wish to humbly suggest to all those who seek the Reign of the Sacred Heart on Earth as it is in Heaven to not only consecrate themselves to the Lord in this manner, but the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!
We can do this and it will change the world. We do not need to do it in Church, with a priest, someone else, or any other “official” way. We can do this alone in the privacy of our own homes. For He is listening.
If nothing less, this Act of Consecration will affect thousands, perhaps millions of souls. And we can do this Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and every day of the year we feel inspired to do it (especially every First Friday of the month), until He — through His Merciful Heart — accomplishes what no politician, bullet or song can do: change the hearts of the world!
At this critical juncture, we ask this Heart of Mercy, overflowing with Love for us, to take under His wing, not only our families and ourselves, but every human soul on this planet — so many of whom are in danger of an Eternity we do not wish to contemplate.
In this consecration prayer that we offer, please note, it is not a watered-down version as you will find in so many of today’s post-Vatican II conciliatory Church prayers. It is a serious consecration that bespeaks of serious differences in mankind’s approach to its Creator, as evidenced by the growing war clouds from every corner of the globe.
But there is only one way, as we all know. Jesus is, of course, the Way, the Truth, the Light, the Cornerstone, and the Life of all.

Interestingly, it mentions specifically the many beliefs that keep the world separated from its Savior and asks the Lord to remove these obstacles as only His Light can. And it does so by invoking this change through His Love.
So do not be surprised by the prayer’s invocations against islam, or those who rejected and continue to reject Christ. These are not milquetoast words that we hear so often from today’s Church “wimp.” In other words, it is NOT ecumenical.
They are words desperately needed to be spoken from the Church Militant so that His Gift of Sacrifice is not ignored but embraced; and we, in His coming Reign, may rise up with the Church Triumphant in heavenly praise for the One Heart that gushed forth Blood and Water as a Fountain of Mercy for all of us!
Let us then change the world by asking Him to change it for us.
